Embarcadero Resort

We had a hotel room -- on the third floor. There were a lot of stair to reach the room, with a fabulous view of the bay and bridge. It doesn't have a full kitchen, but does have a nice kitchenette.

Embarcadero Resort has seriously dropped the ball. For over eight years, we've loved coming here, mainly for the crabbing—leaving crab traps out overnight was a huge draw. But now, out of nowhere, they've slapped on this ridiculous rule against overnight traps, with absolutely no warning on their website. Honestly, this was the only reason we bothered staying here, and now that's ruined. And to add insult to injury, the dock now closes at 10 PM, used to be 11 PM, and we were kicked out at 9:40 PM last night. Seriously, how much more are they going to take away from the people who actually support this place? The real kicker is that the board members making these awful decisions don't even live here full-time—they're out-of-state owners who have no clue what's going on. The complaints from full-time residents and loyal guests are being completely ignored. Embarcadero needs a major overhaul, starting with getting actual residents on the board, or they're going to watch their business go down the drain.

We really love this property! And the bed was amazing. I wish I could’ve packed it up and took it all! The only thing the only one thing that was a problem were the 2 1/2 flights of stairs she had to go up to have the best room with the best bed and the best view! But I love that they had a washer and dryer facility on site so we could wash all our clothes cause we had just gotten off a cruise from Alaska.
