Cobblestone Inn & Suites - Newton

Our twin nieces were graduating on Monday from Grinnell University, and we arrived on Sunday evening at the hotel. There was plenty of parking. Our room was on the first floor and had so much room. It had a small kitchenette and a counter and a couch. The bathroom was very clean. We settled in and my sister and I spent the evening on the balcony in the rear of the hotel overlooking a large field where we were able to watch the sunset. Breakfast was eggs, biscuits and gravy, danish, and bread. The staff were very kind. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.

Room was clean and spacious. Great breakfast and friendly staff. I would stay at this location again and would recommend to other's.

In town for a wedding with mt family of 5. We arrived very late on friday night/early Saturday, Thaddeus at the front desk was very cheerful and helpful. He was able to find us a roll a way even though I failed to request one at booking. He did it all with a smile. Every other staff member we encountered was equally as kind and helpful. Great little hotel!

We stayed here while attending a family reunion in the area. We stayed two nights. The bed was comfortable and the room was very clean. The rooms are spacious and have nice views from the back of the building. The breakfast is nice, with a couple of options each morning, and well-stocked throughout the time we were there. Overall, I would give the Hotel a 4 out of 5. It needs some updating, but is well maintained.

I came home for a somber family event. The welcome could not have been warmer and I appreciated the hospitality of the staff, particularly Trista (I hope I remembered your name correctly; thank you for helping me with my dress, and thank you for your kind words). The bed was comfortable and everything worked as it should. The furniture, however, is in need of replacement; renovation probably won’t help the badly peeling covers. It was surprising to see laundry piled up on the bar during the day. The room was clean and the wear did appear to be limited to the chairs and sofa. I will likely have to return to Newton in the future. I would happily stay here again if the odd bar/folding table situation is rectified, and if the furniture didn’t appear so shabby.

The guest services were excellent. They were helpful and accommodating in making last minute changes to our reservation and keeping us in the same area for our pets. The room was amazing we loved the comfort of the bed and the comforter was so soft. When traveling Cobblestone will be our choice of stay.
