What a gem of a place Muri Shores is! We stayed in one of four absolute beach/lagoon front villas. The view is amazing, whether you’re on the super comfortable bed inside or sipping champagne at the outside balcony table. Amazing location with eateries, restaurants and markets all in walking distance. Complimentary kayaks and snorkelling equipment, along with a paddle board are there to explore the crystal clear lagoon and turtles a plenty. Sunlounges are also provided for our personal use. There are hire car providers within walking distance or you can hop on a bus which go in both directions around the island. Would definitely recommend Muri Shores for your next holiday and my wife and I are sure to return.

We visit Rarotonga every year, and Muri Shores has been our favourite accommodation so far. The villa was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, and thoughtfully set up with everything we needed. Right on the beach with stunning lagoon views, we loved using the kayaks and waking up to island music drifting over from next door at Captain Tama’s. The location is ideal—close to everything—and you can tell the owners genuinely care. We’ll definitely be back!

Cannot recommend this accomodation enough! The view from the front balcony is to die for. We used the provided kayaks every morning and evening to explore the lagoon and go for a snorkel. Kristina was so lovely and accomodating. Loved our stay

This little place is great. I booked very last minute and they were quick to respond. The bugalows are directly on the beach and the views are amazing. It is a really nice and quiet place to stay, while also being really close to everything the Muri area has to offer. This is not a resort and I would absolutely stay there again.

Great location. Quiet. Awesome outlook. 36 steps from front door to water. Well equipped with air con, bikes and kayaks. Close to Muri night markets and lagoon cruises. Excellent hosts. Third time in Rarotonga but first time on the Muri lagoon waterfront. Beautiful. Would definitely try and stay there again.

Fantastic stay at Muri Shores! The location was perfect, accommodation was clean, kitchen was well equipped and bed was comfy. Communication with the owners was also easy. We ran out of gas and Eugene was there promptly on Easter Sunday to replace it for us. It was great to have access to bikes and kayaks and we were in easy walking distance of activities, restaurants and cafes. We'd love to stay here again. Thank you Krystina and Eugene :)

Dear Krystina, it´s been a few weeks now, since we´re back in Germany and back to normal work-mode. But every now and then, we think of our great 6-week-journey to New Zealand, which ended with a special treat at Muri Shores in your litte paradise on earth. Traveling to New Zealand was the fullfilling of a long dream and it truly was an experience of a lifetime. To be honest, the "icing on the cake" was our stay at your accommodation on Rarotonga. We would like to thank you from our hearts for the wonderful stay, the beatiful beachvilla, the perfect housekeeping and very warm welcome. We enjoyed it to the fullest and had the chance to visit Aitutaki, the nightmarket and the local museum. We loved kayaking in the lagoon, having a swim right infront of the villa, soaking in the relaxed vibes of the island or simply waking up in the morning with that georgous view. Thank you guys so much for this true little paradise. We´re sure, we will re-visit New Zealand in a few years and when the time comes, we will definitely visit you again at Muri Shores. :-) We wish you all the best, keep up the great work and enjoy your little paradise. What fantastic accommodatoin and location. We had a wonderful two weeks in one the lagoon view villas and it was everything we wanted and more. A warm welcome note and lovely fresh fruit bowl. Great food options for those meals we didn't cook - Muri Night Market and the Sailing Club. Wonderful coffee from The Fix (now serving breakfast) across the road (next door for a great massage). Lovely outside seating on the deck and plenty of loungers available on the beach. Thanks for Krystina and Eugene for this wonderful spot to escape too.

Muri Shores is a 5 star experience! Absolutely stunning location on the lagoon, easy to walk to shops and restaurants, pleasant interior and Krystina was a joy to deal with. Thank you for making the last few days of our honeymoon amazing! We will be back :)

Arrived at Muri Shores, was not disappointed, the bungalow was beautiful and certainly as described, the view took my breath away, a tropical paradise without doubt, facilities were great, small kitchen, nice bathroom and wonderful lounge area with a large double bed, the decking outside offered fantastic views of the lagoon and we spent many ours just looking out over it, private beach area with sun loungers, free kayaks and bicycles, just perfect, fantastic value for money, some of the other places on Muri Beach were 3 time the price, a big thanks to Krystina and Eugene who popped in to see us and make sure everything was ok, they arranged the airport transfers for us which were flawless both ways. The gardens were immaculate tended to by Albert and Edna. Nice cafe and bakery, a small supermarket and the fantastic night market literally behind the bungalow serving some wonderful food, plenty of activities including Lagoon cruises, swimming with turtles and rays, great bus service around the island and car hire nearby. We will certainly return here when back in New Zealand Highly recommend

I have stayed at several accommodations on Rarotonga over the years and I can safely say that Muri Shores is my favourite. Prompt and friendly communication with owners Krystina and Eugene. Excellent location at the centre of the beautiful Muri beach. Close to restaurants, tour operators, the night market, cafes and convenience store. Super clean villa with very comfortable bed and everything you need to enjoy your stay!

Kristina and her staff were great. Super friendly and helpful. The back villa came with amazing views with loungers and a table and chairs to enjoy the raised deck views. Bikes and kayaks were available for use and allowed us to see three turtles in the lagoon while paddling on three separate days. Loungers were also available for use on the beach. The night market was only steps away which made dining easy when we had no car available. We did rent a Muri Shores vehicle they had available at the end of our trip. This helped as our flight did not leave until late at night and gave us the option to tour the island, store our luggage in the car and have easy drop off at the airport since we had no place to stay after checkout, a common problem with late flights. Can’t say enough good things from this Canadian who was a long ways away from home.

The villas are very comfortable and cover perfectly all the needs, the jewel of the crown is the location, the beach beds on the sand with a majestic view to the turquoise waters and enchanting little islands, will try my best to visit again this accommodation whenever I can do the big travel from MX. cheers to the property managers who arrange the shuttles and are replying fast to requests or inquires!

Ahhh Muri Shores is heaven on earth. The location is perfection. The accommodation is perfection. The perfect place to fly, flop and relax. Watch the sea turtles from your balcony, morning swims, midday swims… swim all day. Can’t wait to return. We stayed late Jan 2024. The service from staff was incredible.
