Upon our arrival, we were informed of issues at the hotel, leading to our transfer to Hilton Niagara Fallsview. It seems the hotel attempted to reach me, but I did not receive any communication regarding this change. We were quite disheartened, as we had originally booked a split-level room with a view of the falls. Instead, we were assigned two separate double queen rooms at a different hotel. While the rooms were standard and the view was pleasant, we were disappointed to be split into two large rooms.
Given the premium price we paid, we expected a better resolution than merely receiving two separate rooms at the same cost. Although we appreciated the location of the new hotel, our experience was far from satisfactory. One room was located directly across from an ice machine, which generated disruptive noise, and the other was adjacent to a family that was excessively loud, with constant door slamming.
Additionally, breakfast was not included in the high rate, and the swimming pools were overcrowded with noisy children until 11 PM, the closing time. The hotel consists of three separate towers, making navigation particularly confusing, especially when trying to find our room on the 27th floor of the South Tower, which was not connected to the gym or pool facilities.
The property was heavily staffed with security, and towels were often scattered throughout, particularly in the areas between the adult and children's pools, where noise levels were similarly disruptive. Overall, I found the experience quite disappointing. Upon checking out after four nights, we were also faced with an increased city tax. In summary, I was unimpressed with the handling of our transfer and the overall management of our stay.
