Hotel is a convenient walk from the nearest bus stop, and it provides a comfortable feeling within the hotels itself. The buffet was delicious, and they feature daily changes on the rice to give an insight on the type of rice you can get from which part of their prefecture.
Hotel service was great, and the comfortable night gown was a perfect touch as you wear it to call it a day when you sleep.
Only thing is that there was no laudry facility in the hotel, but it was, in general a great experience.

We recently stayed at Hotel Okura in Niigata and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is beautifully situated overlooking the Shinano River, providing stunning views, especially during sunset. An excellent stay. The staff were so polite (even more so than I was expecting), and the room was spotless.
It’s a little far from the station, but easily accessible by bus. You can’t miss it as you’re crossing Bandai Bridge.

The cheapest single room has old facilities but is still clean. I stayed there for one night and caught the Shinkansen early the next morning. I had breakfast at 6:30. There weren't many varieties, but everything was exquisite and appropriate. Great 👍
