North Devon resort

Overall a lovely stay, the accommodation was comfy and warm. Although there wasn't a door catch on the main bedroom, so the door was open all the time. Lots of things in the apartment, such as dishwasher and tablets, tea towel, washing up liquid, soap and shower gel etc. The restaurant was very good, clean and tidy and food was excellent. Bar prices weren't too bad either, which was surprising! We would stay there again as it's a good base to explore Devon.

It was a last minute decision to book a short break in Devon and we found the north Devon resort online. On arrival we were greeted by the friendly reception staff and went to our accommodation. We were very impressed how clean the apartment was, and even more impressed by the comfort of the bed. The staff were really friendly and accommodating and we loved the food they had to offer, including the steaks on the night and an amazing Sunday lunch carvery. We enjoyed a family swim in the pool, and a relaxing time in the sauna. We would recommend and would definitely stay again if we visit Devon. Thanks to the staff for making our stay welcoming and comfortable.

Absolute dump is all I can say..... Without booring you all to much, I took the wife and couple of kids just for a mid week easter break. Got to my cell, I'm sorry, I mean chalet, and I thought no way am I staying here. Unfortunately for me, I was very much outnumbered by my faithful family members so stayed. After the 2nd night I gave up the rest of my stay, handed back the keys and left. Each and every door in our 2 bedroom cell did not close, even the toilet. You might all be thinking what's all the fuss about.... That was just the beginning.. But anyway, the whole site is on a par to our chalet. Future inmates should think very carefully about their decisions of resorts... good luck all. And thank-you.

We got a last minute deal & it was fairly cheap but had we have paid full price at this time we’d have been very disappointed. We were sold a 3 bed apartment by a third party offering the last minute deal but were called the following day by North Devon Resort to tell us they could only offer us a 2 bed with a Z bed as all the 3 beds were booked, or a refund. By this point we had 3 excited children so a refund wasn’t an option. We had to ask for the extra bed on arrival as it hadn’t been left as promised. A refund for the difference in price in rooms was also promised but hasn’t materialised yet either. There is a lot of renovation work going on which is definitely needed and whilst we were there was mainly affecting the pool & changing area. The pool had had a problem a few days prior to us arriving and we were warned by staff that it was cold. It was really cold but luckily our children weren’t put off by that. The “superior” 2 bed apartment was basic but had everything you needed for a family of 4, as a family of 5 we were 1 thing short of everything (plates, glasses, cutlery etc). Inside it was really clean but the outside windows were filthy (probably down to all the work going on). Every member of staff we encountered was really helpful and friendly though, we couldn’t fault them. Once the place is finished, I’m sure it’ll be absolutely fine but at the moment it is either under construction or looking really tired.

Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with the service and accommodation. Late check ins. Stayed in 3 bedrooms, spiders in each room, which kept returning, broken wardrobe, Leaking ceiling and dampness. The location and access to our Lodge was inaccessible due to 2 steep flights of stairs, no disability access. We needed disabled access room, but nothing was given. Receptionist shrug her shoulders and didn't know how to solve our issues. Very unpleasant stay. BE WARNED.

The accommodation was clean and well equipped. Staff were helpful and the resort had a friendly atmosphere. The situation of the holiday resort was ideally located for our requirements. The little cafe and shop was handy as well.........
