Beach Baby Lodge

What a happy discovery this property was. I originally came here for lunch and the place looked so cute i booked for 2 days, while There I loved the place so much I extended my stay, twice. With just nine rooms the lodge is cosy and comfortable with its own elevated beach a couple of meters from the rooms which kept all but the most persistant of beach boys away. the rooms are comfortable with a (very cold) mini bar fridge, comy beds, AC and a large bathroom. each room has its own little patio to sit on and enjoy a cool breeze. breakfast is from a plated menu but with enough choices and decent portions to spend at least a week without having to eat the same breakfast. The food overall punches well above its weight for this class (3 star) hotel and we enjoyed everything we ordered. Service was generally attentive but quite relaxed. The hotel is clean and all the staff we ineteracted with from the security to reception, house keepers and of course the lovely Ladies from South Africa that run the hotel, were charming, polite and friendly. Kudos esp to security...i am a bit of an imsomniac to tend to wonder around in the early mornings and always found security patrolling around in the wee hours of morning. (the hotel is quite open but i still felt safe. As a South African we are quite paranoid about crime). there is a great beach bar and rstuarant which is also open to the public. They hold regular darts and pool competitions which attract a loyal local following and the bar has a great vibe with a perfect viw of the water and the sunsets. All in all i adored Beach baby and will be bak for sure (Since i live on the island) so well done Lisa and her motley crew. See you gain soon

Beach Baby Lodge is fantastic. Accommodation is simple, clean and comfortable and right on the beach. Liza is an amazing host - attentive, responsive, caring, knowledgeable ( and plays a mean game of darts!) . Everything we ate off the menu was absolutely delicious and happy hour sundowners on the upstairs deck is a must! I highly recommend the Lodge and would go back.
