Loved Sweden but this hotel was awful. Luckily the three other places we stayed in were wonderful. The room was very small, barely room for the double bed and no space for a table or desk, so stored the suitcase in the bathroom. We paid for a sea view, which to be fair, if you could stand in the little gap between the bed and small window (room 114) , and then squinted between the trees, you could just about see the sea. The window was tiny and you could maybe sit on the corner of the bed with your knees pulled to the side, so wasn't much point anyway. More like a prison cell than an upgraded room! These rooms were in a separate prison block away from the pretty actual hotel. No kettle of course, so we had to wait until 8 in the morning for a coffee in the restaurant, which we had to pay for. So went to the local shop to buy cold coffee cans. Wasn't any space for a kettle anyway they could argue. The spa was full of the walking dead; think a cross between 'Dawn of the Dead' 80's Zombie film crossed with Thomas Mann's 'Death in Venice' or perhaps 'Magic Mountain'. A sanatorium full of the dead and dying. The food was adequate, though I was livid about paying £160 for a buffet for two and a bottle of the cheapest wine. The best part of the stay was packing up and leaving the place, though angry about being robbed by this hotel. Needless to say that we won't be back.
