This hotel gave me something that I didn't even know was possible beforehand--a stay not in a city center that nevertheless felt like it was the place to be. It was inviting, beautifully designed and maintained and, most of all, comfortable. Service felt helpful but not over the top. It felt like I was visiting friends of friends for a weekend in the country-side. It was so relaxing. I had no idea that a hotel could be a destination in and of itself. I loved it!

Booked this hotel off of Tripadvisor reviews. Worried that it was a little bit pricey, but after staying there I feel it was worth it. Rooms were beautiful, recently re-done. Not just remodeled, but completely rennovated. Very comfortable. Great service. I had no idea about teh 500 year history of the building and the stories atached to it. Only downside - and not a enough to lose a star: The breakfast was pretty weak. My eggs benedict was pretty louse and my wife's porrige was not good. The need to up their breakfast game.

The recent refurbishment is really nice but unfortunately our stay was not peaceful. You can hear the sound of people talking on the ground floor below during the day, people walking down the corridor, snoring from adjacent rooms and television being watched on the second floor at 4am. Worst of all are the old single glazed sash windows which allow you to hear all the traffic on the adjacent A road and also every vehicle entering and leaving the gravel car park.

Had a delightful stay at this hotel which is a few miles outside of Oban overseeing a loch. Staff were super friendly and the hotel has good vibes. Slept well in the big beds with clean fresh air.

Country house feel , just a few minutes from Oban. The welcome was special and the staff were all very attentive. We choose Knipoch as we were travelling with 2 dogs. The dogs were made to feel as welcome as we were and the staff pointed out places to walk them. Very comfortable room. Excellent meal and breakfast too. A bit pricey but then you get what you pay for ..

I was excited to arrive for the first time at Knipoch based upon the website & website video of the grounds, dining hall and rooms. I led a group of 14 people and we were all completely thrilled beyond our imagined expectations.

Knipoch House Hotel is niet alleen een heel fraai gelegen en super verzorgde accommodatie maar ook de gastvrijheid en service zijn van een hoog niveau. Het ontbijt, een overvloed aan vers en lekker en het diner was top. De bediening en ook later aan de bar perfect. Een aanrader!
