Ogunquit the Milestone Inn

Nous avons régulièrement séjourné au Milestone au cours des 10 dernières années mais c’était la première visite depuis la vente aux nouveaux propriétaires. Nous avons remarqué plusieurs éléments qui n’étaient pas au niveau attendu, citons le service aux chambres et les choix lors du petit déjeuner. Mais un point assez désagréable était la non-disponibilité du hot tub (bain chaud/spa). Bien que celui-ci soit visible en première page de Trip advisor pour le Milesstone, lorsque j’ai voulu l’utiliser j’ai réalisé qu’il était recouvert d’une bâche. J’ai posé des questions à l’employé au comptoir et il m’a dit qu’il avait été fermé par le CDC (centre de contrôle des maladies) !! Lorsque j’ai été au comptoir en quittant, j’ai décidé d’en parler avec la propriétaire et elle m’a alors dit que cela n’avait rien à voir avec le CDC « mais que c’était à cause d’un manque d’employés car il fallait qu’il y en ai toujours un à côté du spa lorsqu’il était en opération ». Lors des dernières visites, nous avons régulièrement utilisé le spa et il n’y avait pas d’employés présents en permanence…Le Milestone n’est pas mauvais mais il n’est définitivement plus le joyau qu’il était. Was very disappointed to have little children in room over us running and jumping 100% of the time when they were not sleeping. Complained at front desk and they said there was nothing they could do about it. Terrible parenting and terrible customer service. Not satisfied with hotel's handling of the situation. This rude behavior(teach your children manners) also happened in the breakfast area and in the pool. You will not be able to relax and enjoy it as you will have kids jumping over you, splashing in your face , yelling in your ears, etc. Do yourself a favor and pay a few bucks more for a hotel that is not in disrepair and cares about hospitality for ALL their guests. If you are expecting an adult friendly experience stay away from this place.

Went to The Milestone in Ogunquit for a two-night stay on July 1st. We chose this place because 25 years ago my husband proposed to me there, and we had stayed there a couple other times in the past as well. Knowing it was a holiday week, I had made my reservations early. Upon arrival, I noted to the staff at the front desk that their website and others showed the room rate was $100 per night less than what I had booked it for and showed her the information on my phone. Anticipating they would honor the change in price, Her reply was, "We don't price-match." I suggested cancelling the reservation and making a new one at the lesser price, and she said I would lose one night's deposit at the higher rate. I then asked to speak to a manager, which of course there was not one there at the time, but possibly would be there the next day. Checked again the next day and was told no manager was there that day. I asked again the next day and since again no manager was available was given a general info email to contact, which I knew would not likely be responded to by the proper party. I was very disappointed that there was no attempt to even offer at least a discount. Though this hotel is located in a great location near the Ogunquit/Wells line, I'm sorry to say our next stay in that area will NOT be at the Milestone.

Horrible, terrible and awful and that’s not even talking about the customer service aspect of this experience. My friend had a death in the family and they wouldn’t help him out or return his money so sad. If these businesses a customer service base, I just thought they’d wanna do right by people in their hours of need

I highly recommend this hotel. The beds are comfy and the shower is great. The room size is ample. with lots of room for suitcases and toiletries, and for moving around. The two sinks, one in the toilet area and one in the bedroom are a real convenience, as well as the refrigerator and the microwave. The cold breakfast was generous and delicious. And the staff was lovely.

Rooms were clean. Bathroom had a nice overhead night light. Good bathrooms overall. Room was clean but dingy looking. Beds were too hard. Not great pillows. AC was weird to use. Vending machine had been removed. Too pricy for what we got. But I expect that hin a resort area. The biggest plus was the breakfast. No hot fare like eggs, but the bagels and muffins were really fresh and tasty. Real juice and good cereal selection. No lactose free milk though.
