The Beachwood

As we pulled up, we were very leery, but once we got the room switched around a little bit it became a lot more comfortable. It seemed like it was very damp and humid inside the room, even with the air conditioner on the whole time so I bought a couple fans at a local store and that seem to help a lot. They have a small shed with beach chairs you can use and return which was incredible. The light show at night was very nice and proximity to eating and the boardwalk were fantastic. I’d definitely recommend staying here. Our room was very small for 2 people and we had a king bed. Definitely not spacious. Location from beach couldn’t be beat !

First time staying at the Beachwood which was recommended by a friend. My wife and I arrived in the evening just in time to see the nightly light and music show which last for 30 minutes, it was very nice and we looked forward to it each night. Our room was on the second floor and was very clean and had an ocean view. A Keurig coffee maker and coffee is provided (green mountain breakfast blend). If you have a favorite flavor or brand, I would suggest bringing your own. Full kitchenette in all rooms with a good size refrigerator and freezer. Pool and bar closes at 10pm and quite time begins. The staff were all very friendly and helpful especially our housekeeper Robyn, she was awesome! Parking is tight however.

My husband and I have been staying here for years. This summer we took our son for the first time. When we go to OOB, we will only stay here. The motel is located in the perfect location, making it so easy to walk to everything. Very convenient with a child. The staff are always so pleasant from the front to the cleaning. The rooms are clean although a bit small. We stay in a king room that includes a small kitchenette and bath. If you stay on the second floor, you will get a nice view of the beach and pool. They added a pool bar a few years ago. At night there is a light show over the pool. The beach is steps away and they have free beach chairs and umbrellas to use. There are always plenty enough for everyone. One less thing to bring! We love that everything is within walking distance. Next door is The Shack restaurant where we often get lobster rolls or a quick bite to eat. The amusement park is a minute away. Even though it is so close, we have never had a problem with noise. You can walk to the pier and shops within a few minutes. It is very easy to go back to the room or grab food. The fireworks on the beach can be seen at the beach next to the motel.
