3HB Clube Humbria - All Inclusive

Just coming back from a week at 3HB Clube Humbria. This was our second trip to this resort and once again we had a great stay. The staff are courteous, friendly and helpful, the grounds clean and the landscaping excellent. The food and drink are great, with a good selection of Portuguese-style meats, fish, salads and desserts. There are also themed nights with food and drink from other countries. I've seen a few reviews on various sites criticising the wine that comes out of the tap in the restaurant. These people need to get real - what do you expect to come out of a tap in unlimited quantities - Chateauneuf du Pape?!? The wine (particularly the red) is perfectly drinkable and comparable to a £5-7 bottle back home. People just have unrealistic expectations. Anyway, I'd definitely recommend 3HB Clube Humbria, especially to families, and we will be coming back at some point for sure.

Had a great week in this gorgeous resort. Small resort, smallest we’ve stayed in. Immaculately clean, from the apartment, to the restaurants, and all of the public areas. Really liked the pool. Even at the busiest time of the day it never felt crowded, plenty of space for everyone. The depth was ideal for our 7 year old who can’t swim, he was able to stand up in just under half of the pool. We really enjoyed the day time activities at the pool, in particular the aqua-gym. The instructors for this were so good. Full of fun and got so many people involved. Always a good laugh. Normally our kids love the kids club on holidays. But at Humbria the kids club are split by age. Junior kids club is up to age 8. And then the older club is aged 8 years to 15 years. Our kids are just turned 7 and nearly 10. Normally on holidays they enjoy doing the kids clubs together. But the younger kids club was too babyish for them. And the older kids club had kids/teenagers that were much too old for them. So this was a bit disappointing for us. They did do the table tennis once. So this was the only 40 minutes that my husband and I had alone for the week, not ideal :D We found the food all week excellent. We had breakfast and dinner in the buffet restaurant every day. Breakfast was the same everyday but there was a huge selection. For dinner there was a different theme every night, and all were delicious. Again, huge selection every night. We only ate lunch in the buffet restaurant once, as the lunch at the pool bar was so good. Great selection every day of gorgeous chips, burgers, hot dogs, squid rings, onion rings, toasties, salads etc etc. We didn’t go to the entertainment every evening. But of the evenings we did go to, the entertainment was only alright. We were excited for the magician, but he wasn’t anywhere near as good as the magician we’d seen in Mallorca. There was a R&S duo one evening which weren’t great. We enjoyed the eighties band and the White party. The entertainment is indoors, which my husband didn’t like. Our apartment was gorgeous. As above, immaculately clean (cleaned every day), very spacious. Excellent air con. Good location for during the day, as was on the ground floor and the closest apartment to everything, so the kids could be popping in and out themselves even. But I found it very loud very early in the morning, with the noises of the staff starting work (super early). Plus there seemed to be alot of people up in the middle of the night to go to the airport, and I didn’t sleep great for the week to be honest. There was only a handful of shops within walking distance and they weren’t great. A cheap taxi ride to the old town of Albufeira brought us to loads of lovely shops though, for touristy souvenir bits and Portugal soccer kits etc. We spent an amazing day at Zoomarine. Definitely worth a visit. If we’d been staying for longer than a week then we probably would’ve gone back to Zoomarine for a second day. Overall we’d a great ho

Food: Buffet style for all meals, good selection of food - everything is marked with allergens but there is times it can get a little jumbled up, so always be careful what you're picking up is what is on the card above it; I was nearly caught out a couple of times. Always some gluten free options, but it could be hit or miss as to what was good; the days the food was good, it was excellent, but the days it was bad.... it was pretty bad (Luckily, I'd say there was only two days out of the week that I couldn't find much I wanted that was GF). Drinks: Cider. Very, very sweet. Cocktails. Juice. Wine - I wouldn't bother, all of them were like vinegar. That's about your lot for GF. Staff: Always helpful, almost all happy and smily (There was one guy at the pool bar that just cba the whole week). Rooms: Nice and clean, aircon worked fine (If a little noisy), housekeeping staff friendly and effcient. Never had an issue getting a sun lounger, though sometimes didn't get quite the spot I wanted - the parasol/shade availability is very, very limited. There's a supermarket about a 10 minute walk away, beach is ~15/20 minute walk (There's two ways that I found, one is almost vertical, the other is much more sensible). Overall, I'd go again; no complaints (The food isn't a complaint, just a "be aware").
