Horseshoe Resort

Uncomfortable bed. Smelly and torn carpet. I’ve seen motels in better condition for half the price. The location is undoubtedly the best if you’re visiting Vettä, but other than that Horseshoe doesn’t offer the “resort” feeling at all. We’ll probably end up making a day trip next time to avoid staying here.

Unfortunately for the cost, this resort just isn't worth the money. The Jets in our tub did not work, the mattress was extremely elevated on one side which led to back pain and discomfort, and the front desk staff could barely be pleasant when checking in. Definitely would not recommend.

I would not suggest going here if you are hoping to benefit from all the resort amenities unless you book months in advanced. I had intended to have a weekend getaway with the girls so booked a queen room with sunken living room. Overall it was okay but the room wasn't overly clean and some of the furniture was broken. Had potential to be a nice stay. The beds and pillows were good. We tried to have a spa weekend but even trying to book a month in advance, for a weekend appointment, nothing was available with a RMT. We ended up having to go off resort to get what we wanted, which defeats the purpose of staying at the resort in the first place. The hotel staff do what they have to and that's about it. They were kind and when asked, helpful but they certainly didn't offer anything "extra" freely... like instructions on where to park. My experience overall was a solid meh.

Location is lovely, staff are helpful. But the facilities are a bit outmoded and the inability to respond to lost and found inquiries is a major disappointment. Avoid the breakfast buffet, however hungry you may be. Hidden treat: Skee ball game is fun for all ages

Horseshoe Valley Resort provides an easily accessible family get away from Toronto. If traffic cooperates you can get there in just over an hour. The inn is a short stroll from the ski hill and has a great pool facility and a games room with ping pong and fooz ball. The rooms are comfortable and the beds are great!

We spend March break in this ski resort with our kids and had an amazing time. Patient and experienced staff + Well-groomed slopes for all skill levels, including gentle beginner runs + Plenty of amenities, including play room and indoor pool. * We enjoyed the view on slopes from **Will We Return?** Absolutely! We can't wait to come back and ski again next year. The resort's friendly staff, excellent amenities, and beautiful scenery made for an unforgettable family vacation.
