"Very convenient for sightseeing and moving around.Rooms are simple, stylish, with a Scandinavian feel. Clean bathrooms, fresh decor.Kiosks handle check-in/check-out, which many find fast, convenient. Common areas include kitchen facilities (microwave, fridge, etc.), lounges, places to chill."
"Just can say awesome when we walked inside the room. It is great location, just a few minutes walking from bus station to the hotel, the hotel is clean and very nice with modern amenities. Worth for the price to stay there . Great view to look out of the city"
"The check-in process was smooth, and the staff were polite and helpful. The room was clean and had all the basic amenities I needed. The bed was comfortable, and the Wi-Fi connection was stable. Location-wise, it’s convenient with shops and public transport nearby. There were a few minor issues, but nothing major. Good value for the price, and I would consider staying here again."
"The location is super convenient, 2 min and 10 min walk from metro and Oslo Sentral Station respectively. But the district is full of immigrants especially from the Middle East. Worthy to mention that the area around is quiet old and dirty. The room is well equipped with kitchen facilities that we can cook the meal in the evening. The lobby has a receptionist handling requests."
"Would recommend to group travelers. It's also important to remember the location provided on this app is not the location of your room but your office. I need to walk for another 10 minutes to get to where I stayed, so pls don't choose this place if you have heavy luggage with you. Otherwise the environment is very nice. It's close to the Munch Museum and Opera House, and too far away from the train station. The apartment is very spacious with a full on kitchen, washer and balcony. But please also remember to bring your own shampoo, because it's not provided here."
"This review is hard to write, as I do not want to gush too much on how spectacularly awesome it was because I do not want it to become overrun and the price increase. Out of our three hotels through the Scandinavian region, this one was our favorite. The front desk was awesome, the laundry facilities fantastic, the location was great, and the room was everything we love in a hostel room. I have to note that this hostel won the best shower of the trip award because the shower head and water pressure were the best! I will definitely be recommending this place."
"The location near the station and in general is quite close to the main attractions, but the area itself is quite migrant and it is not always comfortable, unfortunately. Also big minus that there is no air conditioning system, but only ventilation, on a hot day apartments are heated quite heatfully. Operational support via WhatsApp, washing machine directly in the apartments, fully served kitchen"
"I chose this hotel to consider that the second day of the tour was at the Sculpture Park, and it was only a ten minute walk. The hotel self-service is also very convenient. If you have any questions, you can call to communicate with the hotel. The hotel is very clean and the surroundings are very good."
"The room is very clean and has hot water boiler. Hot shower is very good. There is a self check-in machine at the reception. My room at the street side and found noisy from the Train, but I like to listen music during the sleep, there is not a problem to me. "
"Complicated Stay
While location is good, near steen and stroms.
too many doors to open using the app. different codes for building entry and rooms. too much reliance on app to open doors (which often need more tries before it can work) instead of having digital buttons to enter premises.
low ceilings for hallways so it seems like a container house. good supply room for bath towels.
laundry area can be improved. only two washing machines (small one) and one dryer.
old style elevator, small - have to use stairs in between. so if you have lots of luggages...this place is not recommended."

Great
GGuest UserThis is an exceptional hotel for quality and service. We were able to check in early to a spacious room with all the extras, hair dryer, mini bar, snacks, iron facilities and drinks tray. Great comfy beds and bathroom facilities.
The car park is underground accessible from the rear of the hotel and is secure with a lift to directly within the hotel
The breakfast is vast and great quality with the chefs regularly doing quality control of the food and dining staff efficiently clearing tables.
We ate in the restaurant and it was good quality. I must mention the young man who served us as his customer service was exceptional not to mention his cocktail mixing skills! Nothing was too much trouble.
The reception staff were really helpful in helping us with the public transport and although the hotel is located on the perimeter of the city both tram and bus stops were located within minutes of the hotel and we’re easy to navigate with the routers app.
All the staff we came into contact with were both helpful and professional and were all good ambassadors for the hotel group.
I would not hesitate in a heart beat to recommend this hotel, thank you for the service.
GGuest UserI arranged the trip through Trip.com for a business trip where the schedule to meet another party in Evje Moen. It turned out that they could meet a day earlier than they had previously stated. Though I offered to Home Hotel Bastion that I delete 5/26 and substitute 5/30, that was not accepted. The problem was that Trips.com would not allow it, even though I announced the request by message before I left the U.S. There should have been a provision for making a change withing a reasonable amount of time.

Great
GGuest UserThe location was excellent....close to downtown plus there was an interesting restaurant area behind the hotel that bordered the Akerselva (?) River. However, many of these restaurants were large and did not appeal to me for this reason (see below).
It was also an easy walk to Oslo Central Station.
The hotel itself was appealing - with a nicely decorated lobby.
I was disappointed with the service from the Front Desk staff, who were busy with ”reception related” tasks and had little time to discuss areas of interest in the City. Often there was no one at the front desk.
Also, the bar/restaurant attached to the hotel did not open until the evening, and while there were restaurants close by, many of these were large open spaces and not ”warm”

Very Good
GGuest UserThe location was conveniently close to major sites like Oslo's Central station and all the attractions in Karl Johan's Gate. We could see both the Oslo Opera House, Munch Museum and Oslofjord from our room's window. It is a short walk to many good restaurants, cafes and shops as well as some convenience stores. The area is pretty walkable but you just have to watch out for uneven pavement. Bus 30 has a stop right in front of the hotel and many of the museums worth making a trip out of the city centre for are on this route.
The ”barception” combines both a bar and a reception area. There is plenty of seating in the lobby which also functions as the breakfast area in the morning. The reception desk also has a small convenience store where you can purchase snacks, drinks and some sandwiches but it is a little bit pricier than the nearby convenience stores and supermarkets. Reception staff were welcoming and friendly during our stay and we visited a few times and received information and assistance quickly. We were initially worried because there was only one working elevator during our stay but that was only an issue a couple of times.
We liked our room with the furnishings provided but would say it is very dim. We got a corner room which had a work space, a bench by the window, a chair and a good sized bed. We appreciated that there were several coat hooks on the walls to hang our winter clothing on when we visited. The hotel promotes sustainability throughout and while the lighting is perfect in the hallways and common areas we found our three small lights and two bedside lamps did not provide enough lighting in the evening which comes early in December. The TV was a big flat screen but unfortunately the smart features were disabled and the programming available is a little dry at this hotel.
The amenities at the hotel are sufficient but I booked believing that there would be laundry facilities on site which there isn't. They recommended going to a sister property which was about a 10-15 minute walk away and online had one laundry machine and we were lucky not to have to wait long to get it done. Kettles and extra pillows are available upon request.
Our favourite part of the bathroom was the heated floor which made the bathroom nice and cozy. The shower had swinging doors on both sides which helped open up the space when it wasn't in use but it didn't provide a perfect seal to keep the water in during a shower. Thankfully the heated floor helped evaporate the overflow quickly. The shower pressure was good but it was initially tricky to get the right temperature. We appreciated that there was plenty of counter space in the bathroom which made up for the lack of ventilation so use the toilet wisely.
The breakfast was pretty good. There was a good variety of hot and cold items including smoked salmon, pancakes, chia seed cups, overnight oats, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, cheese and an area to make your own yoghurt bowl with toppings. They also had a tea/coffee area with plenty of additives like non-sugar sweeteners and creamed honey. We liked the fruit platters but found by the time we went they were largely picked over and they were the less desirable pieces leftover. We started each of our days off right with a decent breakfast each morning.
Comfort Hotel has seemingly taken over Oslo in this area and there are quite a few locations. We picked this hotel because it was pretty central for our itinerary, was fairly priced and it has decent sized rooms.

BBillNot a good experience at Numa Hallen. NOT RECOMMENDED. Rooms are big, clean and quiet. However, the “hotel” is not supported by any staff.
The digital check in failed initially. We did not receive the check in email as advised. Maybe if you book directly with Numa, not a third party like Trip, this might work. Don’t know. We rang the web site and Trip advertised phone number to get a check in email. It is disconnected. This defect is recorded in previous reviews, Does anyone read these complaints?
Read the previous reviews and noted the WhatsAPP number to be found at door front. Was ready for this we thought. The WhatsAPP number only has a virtual attendant. So no verbal communication available only short text messages readable. Jumped through many hoops and eventually received our check in details on the kerb outside the hotel. Thought we would be sleeping on the street for a while.
Once inside we noted the big sign in kitchen about leaving a window open when cooking. Next morning all fire alarms in the hotel section went off. A closed window somewhere perhaps. Alarm couldn’t be shut off so we evacuated with our bags like many others. Guess it must happen often due to the prominence of the sign.
The experience wasn’t good and is a great example of technology making life more difficult. The quest to remove people from hospitality jobs diminishes the hospitality aspect. It also leaves no backup except for meaningless, valueless, unaccountable apologies.
The communications failures and fire alarm intrusion are significant infrastructure short comings.
Wouldn’t stay there again.

SShauna McFaulFor our stay, we booked a studio apartment at The Sweet. The room was lovely and kitchenette was well-equipped. We were able to cook meals there over the days of Christmas when most restaurants and shops were closed. The location is a little outside of the center- nice and quiet but easy to access public transit.
My biggest issue with this hotel was that communication was very… odd. As the booking notes, I called the hotel in advance to schedule my check-in. When my call was answered, I told them who I was and that I was calling to schedule my check in (for a time when the booking said check in is available). I was told no one would be at reception at that time (3pm on Dec 23) and they would text me instructions for how to check myself in. Then she confirmed my phone number and asked for my email address, but when I started to give it, she said, “oh, that’s ok. We can’t use email anyway”. Odd. Before getting off the phone, I had her confirm that I would receive a text the next day with instructions to check in.
Our train arrived around 2pm in Oslo and we still hadn’t received a text, so we waited at the train station thinking perhaps they would send the text right at 3pm since that was the time I had requested. At 3, I still hadn’t received anything, so we called the hotel again. A different employee answered from the one I had spoken to the day before. I gave my name and explained that I was calling because I had scheduled check in the day before but hadn’t received the information to check in. The employee asked where I was and told me that there were people staffing reception to help us check in, which I thought was odd because the previous employee told me no one would be there. When we got to the hotel, we rang the bell and got into the building, but reception is apparently in the basement- there is only a very tiny sign that says this- so we missed it and I called them again. A man came up with our keys and got us set to go.
We got into our room and it was lovely! About 5 hours later, I got a call from Trip saying that the hotel is trying to contact me because they are wondering why I hadn’t checked in and they don’t have a way to get in touch with me. I was sitting in the hotel room when I got this call. I told the Trip representative that I was checked in and it was fine for her to give my phone and email to the hotel.
I know the communication elements have taken up a huge portion of my review and I know they are not the end of the world, but I want to share them because I believe it would be quite simple to avoid situations like this in the future and make the guest experience that much more pleasant at The Sweet.
We greatly enjoyed our stay at the hotel overall and thoroughly enjoyed exploring Oslo!
Llingli****When I booked this hotel, I read everyone's reviews, which were extremely extreme. There are good reviews and bad reviews! Only when I checked in did I understand why. We booked standard rooms throughout the trip, but we stayed in two time periods. The first time we arrived was around 9 a.m. on Sunday. We originally thought we wouldn't be able to check in early, but we didn't expect that all 4 rooms were available. It was really timely for us after a long flight. During my two-night stay this time, the room was quite large and even equipped with a coffee machine! Apart from a few dirty cups and insufficient heating, there were no problems! But when we checked in for the second time, the room we were given was smaller and there was no coffee machine, but it didn't matter if we only stayed for one night! The only problem is that the shower head in the shower room is not very good, and the water is very slow and easy to accumulate water! There is still no heating ~ In addition, the location of the hotel is really good, it is adjacent to Metro Line 4.5! There is a co-op supermarket next to it, open until 23:00.
AAdaline MasudaTruly one of the best hotel stays I have ever experienced. The hotel staff went above and beyond to ensure we were well accommodated and comfortable throughout. When we arrived at the hotel it was 11AM, so I mentioned to the front desk staff that I know it was far too early for us to receive our room (check in is typically at 3PM) and that we would like to simply drop off our bags. Without any special requests, the front desk staff immediately prepared our room keys of us to check in right away, which was hugely appreciated since we had caught a very early morning flight in. We loved the room. It was very comfortable for the 3 of us, although a bit tight but that's what we expected for hotel rooms in Europe. The bathroom was well fitted and had all the basic toiletries required (shampoo, body wash, hand soap), however we hoped to have body lotion as well, so we asked housekeeping whether any was available and they immediately brought 3 LARGE bottles for each of us to use. I have never seen such massive toiletries and in such generous quantities supplied at any hotel before, which again made us feel very well taken care of. Finally on our check out day our flight was not until 6PM and since checkout is typically at 11AM I requested for just a 1 hr extension. Although they were very busy for it being the beginning of summer holidays, without any hesitation the front desk staff extended our checkout time to 3PM. I was once again very pleasantly surprised and appreciative. My last note is to touch on the complimentary tea and coffee always available in the lobby, as well as the fabulous buffet breakfast they served. Cannot recommend this hotel enough!

CCatherine210It can't be called a hotel, it's more like a B&B. The advantages of the hotel are that it is very close to the subway station, just across the road, 200 meters from point to point, and this subway station is only 2 stops away from Oslo Railway Station. The price is also very cheap (this price is very cost-effective in Northern Europe). The room has a small refrigerator, kitchen, and microwave, although we didn't use it. The shower room is separated into dry and wet areas, and the water pressure is sufficient, so it's very comfortable to take a shower. As for the disadvantages, the fire alarm suddenly rang at 8 o'clock in the evening, which was very harsh and heart-pounding. Check-in is self-service by phone, including paying a deposit and activating the room card. The store is not bad. Asked a few of us if we need twin beds, and later gave us a duplex with two large beds on the upper and lower floors. However, this room requires a very narrow staircase, which is inconvenient with large luggage, and every time the door downstairs is closed, it seems as if someone is pushing our door, so it is not recommended for girls to stay (maybe I am timid), if it is a man, you can consider it. The room number is 124B for reference. Also, remember to separate the sheets and other items when checking out, and throw away the garbage. Attached picture instructions.
