Oslo Sentrum Hotels

Love the hotel modernization and cosy feel. Is a surprised to me they got beautiful pantry for use. Hotel customers can make hot their meals and electric jug for water boiling. They hv bread toaster too, was looking forward to toast my bread, but they removed it the next day without replacing. Room is good , very comfortable bed. Toilet very clean. Will recommend to people.

Right next to Oslo central station, location is perfect. Room is very spacious, but common area is very small downstairs. Less self serve features available. Amenity and shower is quite new. Room is Super clean and quiet.

The breakfast at the hotel was praised by colleagues. The price is really good and cheap. It is a very good hotel. The breakfast should be worthy of the price. The service staff is also very enthusiastic and can speak English. I don’t want to feel like some hotels are crappy.

The location is fantastic. The hotel provides for basic facilities. Breakfast can be pre-booked. But it lacks some basic amenties: 1. It lacks a telephone in each room. How are we to reach out to the reception in case of any support ? 2. Majority of travellers from Asia will not carry things like electric plugs (Norway has a typical plug ). So the only way is to now purchase it from a shop. Even that is fine, if you reach the hotel at an odd hour then we will have to wait for the shop to open to purchase the connector/plug. 3. TV channels lack basic english channels. Nowadays satellite channels are cheap atleast connect the TVs to the internet for streaming youtube. 4. Rooms have hangers but lack cupboards. 5. No dental kits or shaving kits etc.

Went to check in before my time,hotel staff suggested me to keep luggage at storage ,and checked in will be only possible after 3 pm ,check process is in online system,if you want to do early you have to pay additional charges.There is no slippers and bottle water in the room. Cleanliness of room is fine ,but the waiting area in reception area needs a improvement

The location was conveniently close to major sites like Oslo's Central station and all the attractions in Karl Johan's Gate. We could see both the Oslo Opera House, Munch Museum and Oslofjord from our room's window. It is a short walk to many good restaurants, cafes and shops as well as some convenience stores. The area is pretty walkable but you just have to watch out for uneven pavement. Bus 30 has a stop right in front of the hotel and many of the museums worth making a trip out of the city centre for are on this route. The ”barception” combines both a bar and a reception area. There is plenty of seating in the lobby which also functions as the breakfast area in the morning. The reception desk also has a small convenience store where you can purchase snacks, drinks and some sandwiches but it is a little bit pricier than the nearby convenience stores and supermarkets. Reception staff were welcoming and friendly during our stay and we visited a few times and received information and assistance quickly. We were initially worried because there was only one working elevator during our stay but that was only an issue a couple of times. We liked our room with the furnishings provided but would say it is very dim. We got a corner room which had a work space, a bench by the window, a chair and a good sized bed. We appreciated that there were several coat hooks on the walls to hang our winter clothing on when we visited. The hotel promotes sustainability throughout and while the lighting is perfect in the hallways and common areas we found our three small lights and two bedside lamps did not provide enough lighting in the evening which comes early in December. The TV was a big flat screen but unfortunately the smart features were disabled and the programming available is a little dry at this hotel. The amenities at the hotel are sufficient but I booked believing that there would be laundry facilities on site which there isn't. They recommended going to a sister property which was about a 10-15 minute walk away and online had one laundry machine and we were lucky not to have to wait long to get it done. Kettles and extra pillows are available upon request. Our favourite part of the bathroom was the heated floor which made the bathroom nice and cozy. The shower had swinging doors on both sides which helped open up the space when it wasn't in use but it didn't provide a perfect seal to keep the water in during a shower. Thankfully the heated floor helped evaporate the overflow quickly. The shower pressure was good but it was initially tricky to get the right temperature. We appreciated that there was plenty of counter space in the bathroom which made up for the lack of ventilation so use the toilet wisely. The breakfast was pretty good. There was a good variety of hot and cold items including smoked salmon, pancakes, chia seed cups, overnight oats, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, cheese and an area to make your own yoghurt bowl with toppings. They also had a tea/coffee area with plenty of additives like non-sugar sweeteners and creamed honey. We liked the fruit platters but found by the time we went they were largely picked over and they were the less desirable pieces leftover. We started each of our days off right with a decent breakfast each morning. Comfort Hotel has seemingly taken over Oslo in this area and there are quite a few locations. We picked this hotel because it was pretty central for our itinerary, was fairly priced and it has decent sized rooms.

Really loved the location which was a 3 min walk away from Oslo Central Station and surrounded by shopping malls! Check in was easy as the concierge is open 24/7 and although the room wasn’t spacious, it was comfortable enough for 2! Super loved their wide spread of buffet breakfast and there’s also a live egg station! Will recommend!

The location and rooms are very good. It is very close to the commercial street, the palace and the parliament building. You can take a fly directly from the airport to the National Theatre Station. The surrounding environment is much better than that near the train station.

From the airport, take the train to the Central Railway Station and walk for more than ten minutes. All the way to the street, the location is very good. The facilities are not bad. Breakfast has instant noodles, it is a surprise. The front desk actually missed the wrong money. Very affecting the impression. Others are good.

It was a really excellent hostel. Clean. Has all facilities and in the perfect location. The only thing I can suggest hostel improvement is to ask guests what they plan on doing at the hostel as, I stayed in a 12 bed mixed dorm and only met 2 people my age who wanted to meet and become friends and hang out etc. The rest were boring 50+ and even one 72 year old who was living there and was a let down as they kept complaining that we were talking after 11pm. If the young ones and old ones, or the quiet ones and the meet friends and go out ones are seperated, this hostel could be 5**
