Is your heart yearning to step away from the city hustle and bustle? Visit Frans Indongo Lodge and step into the calmness and silence of the Namibian Savanna, surrounded by scents of grass and acacias. The Frans Indongo Lodge Terrace is the ideal setting for a leisurely ending to an eventful day, allowing you to enjoy a chilled drink while soaking up the reflection of spectacular hues of red over the sandstone rocks of the Waterberg Plateau on the side of the thorn bush savanna. Situated approximately 43 km from Otjiwarongo, Namibia, Frans Indongo Lodge is the ideal stop when travelling between Windhoek and Etosha National Park or the Caprivi. A relaxing restaurant is available on the Frans Indongo Lodge premises, allowing you to start your day with a scrumptious breakfast, enjoy a slice of cake for teatime, or indulge in truly Namibian cuisine in the evenings. All of the meals are prepared fresh and from scratch, using locally sourced produce, ensuring that you experience the wonders of Namibian food. After a long day in the Savanna Bush veld, you can bathe in the sun whilst relaxing on the Sundeck at the Swimming Pool, watching a succession of Sable Antelope, Black Springbok and Nyala quench their thirst at the nearby watering hole. During the day, you can explore the various activities available at the Frans Indongo Lodge. The lodge and rooms were built from materials like natural stone, wood, and reed that were used for building houses in the Ovambo tribes. Items of daily use in the Ovambo tribe (e.g., earthen pots, voluminous storage baskets, and original wooden figures) serve as decoration to emphasise the African theme, lending a very special charm to the lodge. We have 3 different types of accommodation available, namely: double rooms, 2-bedroom family units, single rooms, and a camping site. Perfection. Family / cosy small piece of paradise . Welcome, room, diner, pool, view on animals are just perfect. Particular excellence on the personal, friendly, nice and extremely professional. I hardly put any comments on TripAdvisor, but here it deserves it. Perfect work, well done . We will be back with pleasure.

It’s amazing and so well located. The food is wonderful and everyone who work here are extremely nice and helpful. The pool area is great and the view is breathtaking. It’s a charming place and I would go back. We were here with our two children but I would go back on a romantic weekend with my husband. The atmosphere is very laid back and with all the green landscape around us, it reminds me of Bali with the rice terrace.

The lodge is in a perfect location. Not too far from Windhoek and easily accessible with a sedan. I love the spacious rooms, good food, very welcoming and accommodating staff that caters to any request you have, the well-lit animal-frequent waterhole and ambient atmosphere. It is a great place to hideaway for tranquility. I loved my stay there, as always.

Accueil très sympathique, avec une boisson fraîche. Les informations (notamment au niveau alimentaire) de notre dernier séjour avaient été enregistrées. Le personnel est très aimable. C'est d'ailleurs le lodge où le personnel a été le plus sympathique durant notre voyage de presque trois semaines. Excellent petit-déjeuner et repas du soir. Belle carte de vins. Grand bungalow joliment décoré et grande salle de bain. Le point d'eau permet d'observer des animaux (différentes sortes de gazelles). Le coin lounge et la piscine font face au point d'eau. Il s'agissait de notre deuxième séjour et nous avons été autant enchantés que lors du premier.

Es war mittlerweile mein 7. ter Aufenthalt in dieser Lodge. Ich begleite Namibia-Reisen, daher war ich schon so ft dort. Ich habe schon einige Unterkünfte während meiner Reisen angefahren, die wirklich sehr gut sind, aber diese ist mit Abstand die Beste. Die Verwalter - Astrid und Alf - sind immer für Sie da, die Angestellten sind Megafreundlich und hilfsbereich, immer ein Lächeln auf den Lippen, das Essen kann sich mit einem Sterne-Lokal messen. Wenn man in dieser Ecke Namibias reist muss man hier auf jeden Fall zwei Tage einplanen. Eine Unterkunft, an die Sie sich immer erinnern werden. Ich freue mich schon auf meinen nächsten Besuch!

Wir hatten von einer Lodge, die mehr oder weniger als Zwischenstopp auf dem Weg von Windhoek nach Etosha fungiert, gar nicht so viel erwartet. Wir erlebten wunderschön eingerichtete Zimmer in einer gepflegten Anlage,, sehr gutes Essen und einen freundlichen Service. Das Highlight war die Tour zu den Nashörnern, bei der es das letzte Stück zu Fuß ging..

L’accueil est attentionné et sincère. Les repas sous forme de buffet ou servis à table sont délicieux. Le cadre est superbe avec le point d’eau où viennent boire les animaux. Dans ce Lodge cosy, on se sent tout de suite très bien. Fabuleux souvenirs.

Très joli lodge sur la route du nord. Chambres très bien décorées, très bien équipées avec un service à la hauteur. Literie confortable. Les parties communes elles aussi sont agréable avec une très belle terrasse donnant sur un point d'eau où viennent boire quelques animaux. Restauration satisfaisante.

Beautiful lodge between Windhoek and Caprivi. Close to Waterberg. Very good food, great hospitality and very clean accommodation. The staff at the lodge was very competent and friendly. The game drive can be recommended. The whole lodge was very clean.
