The Lawrence

This Hotel is really lovely in every sense of the word. From quirky decor to luxury bedding and toiletries to the help yourself breakfast items in the shared kitchen which had an ice machine, everything was second to none. Every member of staff are a total asset to the hotel and were always friendly, helpful and chatty. We will definitely be back again very soon.

Lovely room with separate sitting/office area. Comfortable pillows. All staff were exceptionally friendly.

We’ve had a lovely stay. You have a lovely quaint very well looked after friendly hotel. Staff were also very helpful and friendly. Room was small but fab and big enough for us. Many little touches gone into making the stay special but I should leave that up to other guests to find in room and about the hotel. The local area was nice for some short walks and able to venture out to clitheroe and surrounding areas. Thanks for the lovely hospitality

I had a lovely stay at the Lawrence, beautiful old grade 2 listed building in a beautiful town. Every staff member I spoke to was friendly and helpful, my snug room was plenty spacious for me and would have easily been perfect for 2 people, The ensuite was lovely with a great shower. Bed was comfy with great pillows and all the small touches were great such as a jar of sweets and a jar of flapjack, kettle, Nespresso machine and bottle of water. My room had an iron and board, hairdryer, fan and plenty of closet space. I had a full English breakfast that was cooked amazingly, the food tasted so fresh and the dining room was beautiful. I honestly have no complaints at all of my stay. My daughter lives in the town and I’d booked the room as a treat to give me my own space while I visited. I will be staying again!

My view is that this small hotel punches way above its weight. The young staff was helpful, friendly and very efficient. The decor was lovely and very tasteful. The food (we had breakfast and dinner) was wonderful. We had two rooms and both were beautiful. I find it hard to make any criticism except the car park is very small and “tight” and in common with most hotels the breakfast coffee did not reach the standard of the food.

Cannot fault the staff, the girl was lovely. However we booked for 1.15 and didn't go to table until nearly 1.45. We had a 'nibble' and a starter. These were both fine. Partner ordered the burger and that was fine. However I had the cheese and onion pie with mash and beans. The pie felt like it had been cooked/warmed up a few times. Needed an axe to cut through the crust
