Heavensa Luxury Villas and Suites by the Clarks

We found the place randomly and gave a call to see their availability two days prior to our planned date. Fortunately there was one available room and we reserved it. It was a room with a plunge pool. The place is located not far from the Pinnaduwa Highway Exit and is on the top of a hill. With a warm welcome from their staff, without a delay, we could check in to our room. They offered us excellent service with a really friendly staff. The room was spacious and clean. The pool was clean too and had all the amenities we needed. The architecture was breathtaking and every corner was pleasing, well-lit and makes you wanna stay longer. Food was amazing!!! We had the option to choose our food from their in-house menu since we got half-board package. We kept on saying how tasty the food was from bite to bite. Hats off to the chef! The staff made sure they valued our requests and did their best to accommodate them. They even taught us how to play pool although we knew but had forgotten, literally. I recommend that everyone go here at least once because it’s that good! 🥺

First of all under no circumstances this hotel is a 5 star hotel. Rooms had no TV. When we pointed that out we were told tv is in public room (which was not air conditioned) and phone we can use our mobiles with wifi. Outdoor bathroom was filthy and had remnants of past occupants. When we pointed this out while we were shown the room the employee looked at us as if we were picky and this is normal. He said he would send someone to clean it. He did not till i send a message through whatssup. The cleaner came with minimum knowledge of cleaning you point something out and he just wipe it with the white towels used for guests. I was devistated and decided to let him do his thing when i came back to the bathroom after he finished, the bin was still full. He did not even change it after last occupant. Did the horor story end there? No. I booked a suit with a pool. We shared the pool with two tribes of ants red and black each occupying a corner of the pool and when water moves it drifts them to the pool where they hang on to you for dear life. Hotel is in middle of nowhere so you have to order food from restaurant which is what we did. We decided we had enough bugs in rooms so lets eat in restaurant. I made the order and the person taking it told me it will be served next to the outdoor pool. I was not shown where the place is and was expected to know it! I was asked what we wanted for drinks and i said filter water. We were supplied with bottled water so i though its complimentary. It was a scam. The same thing happened with the breakfast that was included with our plan. We had only bottled water on our table and the waiter opened it. Yet i did not ask for it and i was charged for it. When i saw it on bill while leaving i just wanted to end this horrible experience that it was not even worth arguing. Now the disaster happened at night because bugs have a night life. You realise you share the room with a couple of dozens of white cockroaches and a lizard. Thats what you can see with your own eyes. We already established staff was not helpful so you had to fight for your own. We decided to increase Ac so none of the bugs will have the energy to move. Went to bed to realise there was no cover only sheets. The only cover we had was a decorative one that only goes to waist. Going to the outdoor bathroom at night is willingly allowing yourself to be an open buffet for mosquitoes. I was so happy to leave the next morning

Heavensa was a heaven to stay at! Brand new, it looked like we were the first customers! The bedroom was beautiful, with a private garden and a private pool. The bathroom was vaste with the shower located outdoors, in the lusciousness of the garden, with the peacocks, the monkeys and the parakeets watching over as you shower :) The staff was amazingly welcoming and nice. A big shout out to Roshan, the manager, with whom we had very constructive conversations about the country, its economy, its people, its traditions... We had an amazing food experience explained by the chef himself! The hotel is beautifully designed with local materials, a beautiful decoration, everything was really mesmerizing!... I definitely recommend Heavensa and I'd say, for a long stay! We wish we could've stayed a couple more days just to enjoy the scenery...
