Pinetree Lodge

Wij hebben een geweldige 8-daagse (z****s) Lapland reis gemaakt. In 1 woord; prachtig. Geboekt bij Nordic, verblijf bij de Pinetree Lodge van Explore the north in Kangos. Ontbijt, lunch en diner; basic, maar perfect geregeld, ruim voldoende en gevarieerd. Ruime faciliteiten om de scha**** vrije tijd te besteden. Wij hadden een heerlijk vol programma. Mooie opbouw in excursies (wij hadden ‘call of the wild’ bij Nordic) en allemaal even uitdagend en prachtig. Ontzettend vriendelijk en kundig personeel met geduld en passie voor de omgeving, de hondjes en de gast. Prachtige rustige omgeving aan een (bevroren) meer en zeer ruime keuze in (optionele) excursies, allemaal vertrekkend en verzorgd door de Pinetree lodge zelf. Een prachtig familie bedrijf waarin de one-liner alleszeggend is: you come as a guest, and leave as a friend.

Van het begin tot het einde genoten van onze vijfdaagse in de Pinetree. Ontzettend aardig personeel. Leuke excursies en de gerechten die uit de keuken kwamen waren om duimen en vingers af te likken. We hadden een kleine chalet geboekt. Het was er zalig met een houtkacheltje want het was flink koud. Zou iedereen de Pinetree Lodje aanbevelen bij een trip naar Z****s Lapland.

Une magnifique expérience pour découvrir le grand Nord avec une T° très agréable , autour de 15° et des paysages aux couleurs d'automne . Un lodge avec une très belle vue , en pleine nature . Les repas y sont succulent , le staff très aimable . Un beau choix d'activités de plein air

I stayed two nights at Pinetree Lodge in Kangos, Sweden. The room I booked was with lakeview in the annex-building - very nice and quiet view. Room was clean and basic modern, but no television, no refrigerator, no small table for approximately 124,00 EUR per night in September (no peak season anymore in Sweden) I paid. I am really not a television-junkie but for this price I can expect more comfort. Further weaknesses/ problems in the Pinetree Lodge: 1) I made reservation around six months before arrival for a two bed-room with lakeview. When checking-in they wanted to give me a cabin without any spectacular view for the same price as they got in a travelgroup. I, polite but also was getting a bit upset about this, said I wanna have my type of room I made reservation for. After waiting around 25 minutes I got the room I booked. Breakfast included is average in choice, in quality good. 2) Lunch was low in quantity for the price of around 18,00 EUR I paid for two very small hot dogs with small fries (ca. 9,00 EUR) and a very small smoked salmon sandwich (salmon and some vegetables on a very small round slice of crispbread) for approximately 9,00 EUR as well. Too expensive! And the server (a "friendly" (friendly in "" because I am not sure whether she was naturally friendly) mid-aged lady) does not remember (or maybe she does not want to remember) the food I - the customer - ordered because she wanted to charge me around 11,00 EUR (normally the price for a grillled sausage with fries) for the hot dogs instead of the ca. 9,00 EUR as shown in the menu. 3) The same happened to me with another server (a young, mid-"friendly" lady) the evening before. First she tried to "sell" me that there is only a 3-course menu for around 36,00 EUR. But if I told her that on the website of the lodge there is a menu-card for downloading she admitted that there were other things for dinner. I ordered a burger with fries and salad (quality and quantity good) for around 16,00 EUR. But she charged me the salad additionally for ca. 6,00 EUR. That is a no-go for me. Unfortunately I did not have a printed receipt for this dinner, I paid cash. And - as I told above - also after they got a second chance from me to do it better at next day's lunch, they tried to charge when paying higher prices for food I did not order (see above). 4) When I checked-out they try to charge me a second time the total price of my stay which was already paid by me. Unbelievable impertinent this behaviour of the responsible lodge employees / staff!!! In my opinion Pinetree Lodge is a big tourist trap! Nature around lodge is beautiful but the lodge itself: Decency and honesty of the staff towards paying and polite customers is in short supply here. Lodge rooms are too expensive for the meager facilities. Stay away!

Beautiful though basic lodge for everything Sweden has to offer in winter. We focused on cross-country skiing, with beautifully groomed trails and incredible nature. Excellent equipment and boots were provided. The lunch provided was perfect for apres-ski. I loved the soup in particular.

Je stapt de bus op nr het hotel en je krijgt direct 2 toeslagen op de stevige prijs die je toch al betaald hebt. Toeslag 1 is het voorgerecht bij de dagelijkse menu! Hallo?? We boeken vol pension en je moet een toeslag betalen voor het voorgerecht! Dit hebben we nooit meegemaakt. Toeslag 2 verzekering voor als je de kledij of materiaal beschadigd. Echt ? Dit moet toch inbegrepen zijn in de prijs. Het eten vonden we ook niet zo lekker en 1 iemand had darmproblemen en dat heeft tijd gekost voor de keuken om voor die persoon iets anders te maken. Dat was voor de keuken heel moeilijk en we moesten dat dagelijks herhalen. Organisatie in de keuken en zaal was een ramp. Tijdens het buffet voor de lunch stonden het zaal personeel op hun gsm te tokkelen ipv de lege schotels bij te vullen. Het restaurant gedeelte is heel lawaaierig. Heel slechte akoestiek . Wij sliepen met 4 in de Artic Cabins die zogezegd voor 6 personen zijn. De badkamer is veel te klein en de deuren waren slordig geverfd, zie foto. Ze zouden tijdens de week komen kuisen, we hebben niemand gezien en we zijn zelf achter verse handdoeken gegaan.De activiteiten waren wel top. Ik zou een andere lodge kiezen… reactie van Nordic: alles staat zo vermeldt in het contract en website pffff
