"I only stayed one night, so my assessment might be influenced by a lack of information. It's a decent hotel for a short stay or a brief stop without high expectations. The location isn't the best; it's in a somewhat isolated area, separated from the tourist zone by the train tracks. The room was adequate, but small and decorated in an outdated style. It was clean. We also had breakfast, and the variety and quality were fine, nothing special. In short, if you're only staying overnight and don't have high expectations, it might be acceptable, although I would deduct a star for what you actually get."

"Came to Palencia because this is the place my ancestors were from but saying that, I had no idea what to expect, this part of Spain isn't one that is well known to British tourists who are more used to places like Mallorca, The Canaries, Alicante and the Costa del Sol so with saying all that - Palencia has been an amazing revelation - a beautiful little city with very nice people and with that - this hotel was part of that - a nice room, a superb shower! It was like having a shower under a waterfall, friendly receptionists who could speak great English and were very helpful - if you are deciding to give Palencia a go then I say go! You'll love it and if you do, stay at this hotel, a short walk away from the Plaza Mayor and the old town and by the river - it's five stars for me!"

"If I could give this place zero stars then I would. Awful experience.....left outside in the cold as nobody to check us in. Nobody answers the intercom + if they do then they quickly cut you off. Avoid at all costs!"

"The Alda Palencia hotel is a hotel but more like a youth hostel because there is no coffee shop or restaurant.That's right, there are microwaves and water boiler I believe. Although I didn't use it but I saw it.There is a room with tables for people who want to have breakfast there The room was very spacious and with bathroomo.Comoda and light.TV and table.Sufficient for me because near the hotel there are many places to breakfast. The entry for registration is made by a receptionist but to return to the hotel in hours without reception, it is made by a key to be entered into the entry keyboard and the receptionist gives the entry keys."

"It was easy to look for it once we arrived in Palencia. Very quiet, if you're looking for a quiet place that would be recommended. Very close to the centre. The amenities were very good with some welcome drinks.. cafe and tea available in your room. Cleanliness is great.. complete with your needs for the bathroom. Super recomendable."
