Located in a mature and well established neighborhood in Palo Alto, this quaint and charming 4 bedroom/2 bath home looks forward to welcoming you soon. Enjoy a sense of comfort and calm entering the home, brightly illuminated by natural light. Plenty of space to relax, unwind, cook, dine, and enjoy movie night. Walking distance to parks, trails, restaurants, cafes and a short drive to San Francisco and San Jose, and a quick hop over the hill to the beach in either Half Moon Bay or Santa Cruz.
Enjoy a peaceful retreat from the moment you pull into the driveway. Utilize the driveway for parking for up to 2 guest vehicles, along with additional street parking if needed. This charming blue home with lush vegetation is equipped to host 8 guests with 4 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms.
Open the front door to a charming seating area, perfect for sipping on your morning cup of coffee or reading a good book. If you didn't bring a book, don't worry because we have you covered. Get lost in the pages of the books provided on the bookshelf. Please note the fireplace is decorative only and is not usable.
Located just off the seating room is where you will find an open floor plan featuring the kitchen, dining area, and living room. While cooking can feel like a chore, let alone while on vacation, our home is equipped with the basic necessities to eliminate the hassle of it all. However, we recommend exploring local restaurants and cafes which are located within walking distance. Enjoy a meal as a family around the dining table. After a day of exploration and fun, cozy up on the couch and utilize the Smart TV for family movie night.
Access the patio and backyard from the dining area, and from guest bedroom #3. Soak up the peaceful tranquility found outside with lots of trees, shade and habitat for all sorts of birds.
There are 4 total bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms in the home. The cozy master bedroom is equipped with a king bed and features an ensuite bathroom (shower only). All 3 guest bedrooms share the second full bathroom with a combination tub/shower. Among the guest bedrooms you will find 2 queen beds and 2 twin beds.
The location is fantastic and walking distance to parks, trails, restaurants, cafes and a short drive to San Francisco and San Jose and for various beach outings, hop over the hill to Half Moon Bay (25 miles) or Santa Cruz (40 miles).
Fun spots nearby for the kids to play include Monroe Park, Del Medio Park and Mitchell Park with the Magical Bridge Playground.

We are close to everything, including anything on Stanford University campus (2.7 miles); close to downtown Palo Alto (4.8 miles away from the home) where you can find great food and great coffee. About a 1 hour (36 miles) drive to San Francisco and 35 minutes (15.5 miles) from San Jose. Perfect location!
Depending on your itinerary while in town, you can either rent a car or many guests rely on Uber and Lyft which are always available within minutes.
While relaxing and enjoying your stay, some details to keep in mind are:
1) Season by season, when the ground shifts the door going from the garage to the backyard may stick or come out of alignment.
2) The heating system is efficient and works very well but just needs to be adjusted at the thermostats to desired temperature. There is one thermostat in the kitchen and one in the master bedroom at the back of the house.
3) The only camera is the Ring doorbell at the front of the house.
4) With the age of the home, there is no AC system. In the warmer Summer months, the ceiling fans and portable room fans manage the temperature and keep the climate comfortable quite nicely.
5) While there is ample patio space in the backyard to relax and unwind, the front yard and backyard landscaping are very minimal so as to require as little water as possible during the past several draught years.
6) The fireplace is for decorative purposes only - NOT FOR USE FOR FIRES.
7) The house is child friendly, but not baby proofed.
8) Areas of the home where guests are not allowed access are:
a) Front Workroom to the right of the fireplace
b) Larger Storage Structure in left rear corner of backyard
c) Smaller Storage Structure in right rear corner of backyard

NO REFUNDS - Even the best or newest home has equipment that may occasionally malfunction and cannot be guaranteed operational 100% of the time. We promise to act immediately to remedy any issues, however, we do not relocate or issue refunds due to malfunctioning equipment or any other guest dissatisfaction or due to construction noise or any other items out of our control, unless the home is considered uninhabitable.
- All rentals with 28+ nights require a rental agreement signed naming and identifying all adult occupants (must present valid ID).
No one likes rules, least of all, us -- but we do have a few requirements so that the home is in as perfect a shape for each guest as possible.
-Please respect check-in and checkout times. Check-in: 4pm-10pm. Checkout: 10am
-The maximum occupancy for the property may not be exceeded at any time.
-Host may request a photocopy of renter's ID for verification before check-in.
-This is a private property and the host reserves the right to access the property at any time to perform maintenance repairs necessary or requested by the renter.
- Maintenance/Vendors schedule: we are unable to offer refunds or credits for inconveniences due to scheduling and maintenance done during your stay. While we expect the Landscaping/Gardener schedule days and times to be starting July 14th, 2023 every other Friday between 9 am - 10 am, that can change without notice to us. Guests should understand that such vendors must be able to access the home as well as service the property so we request that our maintenance teams are not turned away if they should overlap your stay.
-Absolutely no parties or loud music.
-This is a NON-SMOKING property.
-NO animals or pets of any kind are permitted at the Property except (1) as specifically authorized in your reservation, or (2) bona fide service animals that we are required by law to allow. Emotional support animals are not permitted except as authorized pets. You agree that a prohibition on animals is not a guarantee that an animal has not been inside the Property or that the Property is free of animal or pet allergens. If pets were to be brought without our consent and knowledge, guests will have their reservation canceled immediately.
- No Long Term Bookings - We only allow bookings of less than 30 days.
Late Checkout Policy
Guests must check out by the designated checkout time specified in the rental agreement. Late checkouts without prior approval will incur fees to cover costs including, but not limited to, waiting times for cleaning crews, canceled or delayed cleaning appointments, hardships on arriving guests (e.g., delayed check-ins or compensation), additional wear and tear on the property, and increased utility usage (e.g., electricity, water, or HVAC). The fees, based on the duration past the checkout time, are as follows:
• Less than 1 hour: 10% of the nightly rate or $100, whichever is greater.
• 1-2 hours: 15% of the nightly rate or $250, whichever is greater.
• More than 2 hours: Full nightly rate.
