Chateau Beachfront Hotel, a by the Sea Resort

What a location! Absolute beach frontage - complete with a balcony overlooking the beach with the stunning emerald water as the back drop. The room has everything we require, and was the most up-to-date room that I’ve stayed in in this price range. I would definitely stay there again, and I’d also recommend it to others.

The hotel was great, they gave me and my husband the wrong room key to someone else's room then they gave us the right room. But that was fine they were very friendly. And location was great right on the beach. And their lobby is open 24-7 that was great to know.

"Know Before You Go" Housekeeping: This property does not do housekeeping. (Regardless of what you might read elsewhere, or what might be promised by the facility.) So, if you're spending more than 1 night, that means: No Bed Makeup, No New Towels, No trash emptied, No In-Room Coffee or supplies Replenished, No Floor Swept = Sandy floors for the length of your stay. Why they provide a "Do Not Disturb" sign is beyond me. They're not coming anywhere near your room once you check in. Maintenance: Again, not coming anywhere near your room once you've checked in. We had the inside door handle to the patio come off the door in our hands on check-in. It stayed on the chair for the entire length of our stay of 4 days3 nights, along with the ceiling light fixture debris that came down as well on check in day. Both were reported each day until checkout. Furnishings: Apparently the Rooms don't come with a table... at all! We rigged the luggage stand with a Tupperware container to improvise a makeshift end table ightstand. When asked, the front desk simply said "We do not provide a table for that room". Knowing ahead of time that this was going to be our experience would've helped greatly in setting our expectations for the stay. Tough to say that Resort Prices for Trailer Park experience is worth it. (It must be a European thing.) On a bright note, the location is perfect. Unfortunately, that is all that is perfect with this facility.

Do NOT stay here. The location is excellent and the beach is beautiful, but that is the only good thing. The rooms were disgusting and I found two live cockroaches (palmetto bugs) in my room. The staff moved me to a different room but that room looked like the floor hadn’t been cleaned. There was sand everywhere and hair on the bathroom floor. The door handle to the balcony broke while I was outside and I had to use my credit card to get back in. I ended up leaving the next day and going to a new hotel.
