Villa Palma Boutique Hotel

This is for the restaurant, cafe, bar portion. Since I have never been to a French cafe, I came in to the cafe to relax and hopefully endulge in a French coffee. Upon entering, I noticed the atmosphere was very pleasant, as the staff greeted me and I felt welcomed. I sat at the bar area and the furniture was very comfortable too. Which made the excursion even more appropriate indeed. The barista in the photo is named Libeth and she expertly whipped up 1 magnificent Canela Cappachino for me. Needless to say, pure excellence indeed!

I like to do intense online searching when booking lodging for my trips. I appreciate unique places and the Villa Palma was definitely that! It felt luxurious and charming, quaint and grand! From the moment my Uber dropped me off, I was blown away by the decor and friendly staff. The concierge was delightful, giving me a glass of cool water and then upgrading my room at no extra cost! And the room! Holy moley! It was incredible! I couldn't believe I was staying somewhere so...just wow! I have absolutely nothing but good to say about this hotel, from the lovely, luxurious feel to the convenient location.

Les + - Emplacement en plein cœur du centre historique - Hôtel bien entretenu - Chambre propre - Personnel jeune et sympathique, prêt à rendre service. Les - - Éviter la chambre 1004 (vue sur un patio accessible à tous donc impossible d’ouvrir la porte fenêtre pour profiter de l’extérieur). Pas de vue extérieure à l’hôtel. Chambre bruyante, nous entendons la musique diffusée dans la réception et la moindre discussion dans les couloirs. Je n’oublie pas les valises descendues marche par marche dans l’escalier à 05h00. - Pas de buffet au petit déjeuner (petit déjeuner compris négocié par l’agence de voyage). Choix d’un plat à la carte mais attente d’un minimum de 20 mn avant d’être servi (même en étant les seuls clients). Par ailleurs il manque toujours quelque chose (nous concernant, les avocats, le saumon, certains jus de fruits pourtant proposés, il a fallu réclamer à chaque fois la salade de fruits prévue dans le plat choisi…). Nous avons retrouvé sous du jambon des morceaux d’avocat noirs et fibreux tout à fait immangeables. Quand nous avons demandé à un responsable s’il accepterait de manger cela, il nous a répondu qu’il ne mangeait pas d’avocats... On nous a proposé un café en guise de compensation … En parlant de café, deux dosettes Nespresso par jour en chambre, ce qui est très satisfaisant. Pour le petit déjeuner, café à l’américaine, un peu mieux que de l’eau chaude … Difficile de comprendre qu’on ne nous propose pas d’expresso alors que c’est disponible en chambre. - En rentrant d’une excursion, nous avons retrouvé notre chambre ouverte (ménage fait). Par chance, rien n’avait disparu. - La veille d’un départ en excursion (départ à 05h00 pour San Blas) nous avons demandé s’il était possible de préparer un petit déjeuner à emporter. Le matin, rien n’était prêt et il a fallu 10mn pour préparer 1 sandwich « triangle » (pas de jus de fruit, pas de café, pas de fruits …). En dessous du service minimum pour un hôtel qui revendique un certain niveau.

The restaurant was wonderful and bartender charming, but the room was dark and dirty. The air conditioner barely kept up and did not take the humidity out of the room, so the furniture was musty. The decor is Italian classical and charming, but not at all well kept. The floor was so dirty it turned our barefoot black. I actually washed the bathroom floor with the bathmat that got so wet from the sloppy shower. Our bed had a heavy duvet and no top sheet. We asked housekeeping several times and they said they would bring one, but never did. I actually went into the unlocked linen room and made my own bed. We paid for the room with the balcony, but it only had one chair. We asked several times during our three night stay and never did get an extra chair - so the balcony was useless. The breakfast was great and it seems to us that the hotel and the restaurant/bar are under waaaay different management.

This hotel has beautiful architecture and decore, we stayed in a room with two floors and a balcony overlooking the city skyline. Everything was high standard and the staff were super helpful! Walking distance to great restaurants and more. Highly recommend this hotel!

Beautiful little boutique hotel located in the most nice area in Panama City. Here, the service is really good and the staff Sain was very friendly. The interior is really beautiful and the exterior to. There is a very nice rooftop with a swimmingpool and a view of the skyline of Panama. Highly recommend to stay here!
