Our experience at Seda Manila Bay was, overall, excellent. The service was top-notch—every staff member we encountered was polite, helpful, and attentive throughout our four-night stay. I gave a 5-star rating for service because of the high standard of hospitality.
That said, there was a small hiccup that left us a bit disappointed. On the morning of our last day, during the breakfast buffet, my wife saw another guest being sung “Happy Birthday” by the staff. She jokingly said, “How come I didn’t get that kind of gesture?” and kept teasing that maybe it was because we “didn’t stay long enough”—even though we were there for four nights.
We had mentioned her birthday to the registration staff during breakfast that morning, not in advance, so we didn’t expect much. Still, seeing how others were acknowledged made the missed opportunity a little more noticeable. My daughter did receive a complimentary birthday cake later in the day, which we appreciated, but the lack of a similar gesture for my wife was a slight letdown.
Special touches like birthday greetings go a long way in creating memorable experiences. We still enjoyed our stay and the excellent service, but we hope small celebratory details like this can be more consistently offered—even for last-minute mentions.
