My experience with CheckMyGuest has been incredibly upsetting. I booked a stay and realized immediately I had chosen the wrong dates. Unfortunately the dates I actually needed turned out not to be available. I contacted them within the hour to let them know my mistake and requested a full refund. For 5 days and through many messages, I still have not received any real help with this issue. I just keep gettin bizarre disjointed responses in reply. They keep saying they’re looking into it and to contact them again the next day. I patiently wait only to get the same exact response the next day. This is a super straightforward issue, I booked the wrong dates, noticed my mistake instantly and need a refund. With costumer service like this, I cannot even imagine what it would be like coordinating check-in or any logistical issues with the during a stay. My advice is to steer clear from using this weird company.

No lights, no A/C, no hot water, no fridge, no TV, can’t charge phones. Don’t be fooled by the glossy pics. Dirty and dated. Booked to stay at apartment 53. After a human-free complicated check in process, the electricity switched off. There is no concierge so the only way to communicate is via email and was informed an electrician will come. The concierge rarely answer phones. Electrician never arrived. Concierge offered to talk us through the process of fixing the electrical problem. Diabolical. Multiple phone calls (roaming) and many emails later, we checked out. We were refunded after a lot of complaining and given a voucher for our trouble which was not worth the hassle.

The agency canceled our booking without notifying us and could only be reached by phone and email with great effort and a great deal of time. Contrary to the glossy website and many enthusiastic reviews from alleged customers who only wrote this one review, they are not interested in the customer at all. After five months our money is still not refunded. Read the other negative reviews and you'll know what to expect.

This management company is a total mess. They do not manage anything. Do not stay in one of their properties. Water leaks, light bulbs out, appliances not working, random strangers coming into the apartment.

Very bad experience. No internet, no hot water, bath tube is only usable for shower. Old furniture, everything is damaged, but deposit is 500€ anyway. No cancellation is possible once you’ve paid. Support lies all the time. Looks like a scam to me. We made reservation through *********** but they also couldn’t help us with the cancellation.

Checkmyguest are the worst hosts I’ve ever experienced on Airbnb. My husband and I rented a place for his parents back in December and they had the absolute worst experience. The pictures on the outside of the unit did not match what they actually experienced. The apartment was next door to a very large dumpster and the entire outside was filled with trash. To make matters worse, the bathroom window wouldn’t close so the apartment was filled with that smell of trash. It was in the middle of winter so the apartment was cold and the heat kept going out. They went without WiFi and even electricity. The stairs leading to the apartment were rotten and unstable which led to it being extremely dangerous for them who are elderly to walk up. They tripped many of times. Upon walking into the apartment building, you see large holes where doors should be with rotten wood hanging down. It was absolutely disgusting. Airbnb has tried to contact Checkmyguest to request our money back but they refuse to respond. We send pictures and videos of all of this to Checkmyguest and to Airbnb. The absolute worst experience ever.

Didnt stay here but did book a different Check my Guest room via Airbnb. Poor experience with Check My Guest. arrived at the apartment to find someone else also checking in, same code, same dates, same address... Check my guest do not answer messages here or their phones easily, over 1 hour to finally talk to someone to find out our booking had been cancelled, but they forgot to tell us. We were left stranded in a foreign country with nowhere to stay. check my guest were not helpful and could offer no solution other than to ask airbnb for a refund.... no help or advice to find a suitable replacement to stay. Luckily we arrived at the same time as the other party, otherwise this could've been even worse! we've had to spend an extra £400 to book a hotel in the area on the day, which on a bank holiday we were lucky to find one with space! airbnb/ checkmyguest have not offered any compensation other than a refund of costs. i doubt ill ever be using airbnb again, and certainly never check my guest - trust has been broken!
