Residence Inn Paris Didot Montparnasse

This hotel is fine, but ultimately not somewhere I'd stay again. Pros: Staff were nice, breakfast staff were especially kind. Breakfast was very good. Room was clean and it had a small balcony. Transportation nearby. Nice, residential area. Plenty of stores and restaurants around. Cons: Room was average, nothing special. Bed was not comfortable. There was no place to store clothes except for the one closet. No drawers at all, except for where the kitchen items were stored. A/C wasn't cold enough. While transportation was closeby, this hotel is at least 30 mins away from city center. If this is your first time visiting Paris and you are not accustomed to taking the metro or buses, this might not be the hotel for you.

This hotel was perfect for our family of 4 to stay 2 nights as we finished a trip to Europe. The front desk staff who checked us in was very helpful as well. The breakfast was tasty and not too crowded, and drinks were available throughout the day. The suite was clean and modern with a balcony, and we got drinks from the convenience shop upon check in. There are several restaurants and a grocery nearby, and a bus from out front took us straight to St. Germaine and major Paris attractions. The only issue we had was that we believe the milk from breakfast was left out too long - our kid had a glass at breakfast on our second morning that tasted off, and they vomited 45 min later at the airport, with no further issues.

Booked 6 months in advance through Chase travel. Checked the booking 1 week prior through Chase and everything was still confirmed. Arrived to hotel to be told the reservation had been cancelled in January. Called Chase travel and they had never been notified by the hotel that the hotel had canceled the reservation after initially accepting it. There are other reviews that mention similar issues so this hotel is a repeat offender. I am a frequent business traveler and this is unacceptable. Now I’m scrambling to find a new hotel at the last minute. Great start to a family vacation. Marriott, maybe you should start over with this hotel.

I had an extremely disappointing experience at the Residence Inn Paris Didot Montparnasse. Despite holding two confirmed Marriott Bonvoy reservations on consecutive nights, I was denied check-in on both occasions due to overbooking. No prior solution was arranged beyond a last-minute diversion to other hotels, and the front desk staff handled the situation with a lack of courtesy and professionalism. I was promised taxi reimbursements and assured that the second night would be honoured - only to face the exact same issue again. To make matters worse, my credit card was charged for both reservations, which were never provided. As a frequent Marriott guest, I expect better from a brand that usually prides itself on reliability and service. This property clearly failed on both counts, and even follow-up with Marriott’s customer care has been met with silence well beyond the promised resolution timeframe. Not recommended! Especially for loyal Bonvoy members expecting recognition and basic service delivery.

The hotel was very convenient to the metro with dining and shopping nereby. The room was comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was a great inclusion.
