The place has an incredibly beautiful and modern aesthetic and rooms are on par with some high-end luxury hotels. But that's not why you should stay here, it's the hosts. I was immediately welcomed by the whole family with a warmth and openness that made me feel like I was part of a family. Kindness always finds a way beyond language barriers. They offered me invaluable tips of what to do and see, offered me tea, fruits and snacks and prepared an incredibly delicious traditional Xiào Guó Mi Xian 小锅米线 noodle soup for breakfast. These kind people of Shadian will forever stay in my memory.
