Mt Quincan Crater Retreat

Never has being up close and personal to a volcano been so serene. Our stay at Mt Quincan was nothing short of luxurious. From the polished floors to the outdoor shower (there is one indoors too) and the two person spa bath, waking up to the sunrise and the dawn chorus, the experience was completely fantastic. The catering was excellent, we recommend the seafood platter. Locally sourced products were a delightful surprise and delicious. Worth every penny, I'll definitely be back and thoroughly recommend a stay here, you'll leave more refreshed than when you arrived, guaranteed.

So glad we finally booked this getaway we’ve been wanting to do for years. Was better than we imagined. Serenity and relaxation in peaceful rainforest with spa and fireplace. Amazing! We can’t wait to return

Sadly, really poor customer service and we had to chase up the manager for items that were meant to be included in the room. We are locals, and have stayed here previously and it was excellent, however this time was really disappointing and not what was advertised on the website. The manager said it was because they had renovated some of the rooms and they hadn’t gotten to replacing items as yet, like toiletries and kitchen basics… For the cost of the room, and a minimum 2 night stay, it was not up to the standard they claim to deliver. We won’t be back or recommending to friends and family again.

This place is a piece of paradise. We enjoyed having slow, cool mornings with a cup of coffee on the deck. We listened to slow jazz through the speakers by the fire and enjoyed a nice glass of Pinot noir whilst cooking our meals over the four days thanks to the self contained nature of the cabins. The views are immaculate and town (Yungaburra) is a short drive away if you need to pick up extra supplies (for us it was extra Pinot noir). Check in was easily facilitated and the beautiful little touches implemented by the retreat were so lovely. We also saw three tree kangaroos and lots of bird spotting! thank you for the binoculars in the welcome basket!

Perfect! Cost place with perfect linens. Order the food trays because it all top notch fresh and high quality! We love it so much here that we stayed in a lot to just enjoy the place and read. Got to the near by cracker lakes like Lake Eacham and run it walk. The most beautiful rainforest I have seen. There is a local dairy dam near by - name begins with an M - that has the best cheese and lunches.

This is the second time we have stayed at Mt Quincan in 2024 and once again exceeded our expectations. We were so comfortable there right from the moment we arrived. The special touches including the delicious baked goods and fresh produce in the fridge, not to mention the complimentary Port and chocolates found in the room were so lovely. The bed is super comfy, the bath is also so relaxing at night. Make sure you use the fire while you're there too. We loved using the kitchen to cook our meals and sat on the balcony each morning and night. We used the outdoor shower this time and wow, that was an amazing experience, I highly recommend taking advantage of this! Thanks again for a truly outstanding stay, we will be back.
