Very bad experience. We booked a room for ourselves and one for our son’s family. We arrived first and Eli at the desk did not inform us that the pool was closed until we discovered that after check-in. When the family arrived, Eli refused to store their bikes overnight so they were not able to stay at the hotel. He could have stored the bikes in the closed pool room. But there was no interest in customer service. The desk people were very ingratiating and solicitous. The family went to Oxford Suites that had a pool, happily stored the bikes, and was very accommodating. Eli refused to cancel the room, saying it was impossible to do. So we paid for a room that was not used at all. When checking on Friday evening, Heather was posted as Manager on Duty. I asked her to call me. On Saturday morning, I gave my number again and learned that she does not work until Monday. It’s Thursday now and I’ve still not heard from her. Does Heather exist? If so, does she care about customer service? The family tried to cancel the room before they left but were refused, being told it was impossible. A few days later, when pursuing the issue, they were told they couldn’t be refunded because they left the site before having cancelled the room. Contradictory and unhelpful attitude. We’ve paid for an unused room because they couldn’t accommodate simple bike storage and even though the promised (and needed) indoor pool was unavailable without advance notice.

Terribly unaccommodating staff. They refused to provide any place to store our bikes, and then the front desk clerk dismissively mocked us, telling us that we had to leave the bikes outside and taunted us saying that we could not cancel the reservation since it was the same day as the reservation. We ended up staying at the Oxford Inn down the street, who provided 3 different options of where we could store the bikes.

Very nice Hampton Inn as we expect. Our King room was very nice and well lit. There was a comfortable overstuffed chair with an ottoman. The room appeared to be recently updated. We appreciated the soft-close toilet seat and the lots of cubby spaces to store stuff. There is nothing close by for dining, so if you need to have dinner you will go downtown.

This review is my own personal opinion of this hotel. In my view, this hotel has to be THE WORST Hampton Inn in the U.S. Two big problems right off the bat. First, the room front door would not close shut; hence, we could not leave the room for dinner after checking into it. Secondly, it turns out that the room was the last one down the hall right next to what turned out to be the Mechanical Room. As tired as I was from driving all day, I had a hard time falling asleep. The noise from the mechanical was a constant, droning, humming noise; it sounded like a faint fog horn warning ships on the ocean, unrelenting, all night long, yet loud enough to keep you awake. It woke me up in the middle of the night and I just could not go back to sleep. When I called the front desk to complain before bedtime, the hotel manager, Heather, could only offer this simple "solution": "I can give you earplugs!!!" Unbelievable. How unfortunate and disappointing to have such an apparent lack of care for your customers. Two of the basic items that I expect and indeed demand when checking into a hotel are peace and quiet, and a front door that works perfectly well as intended. This Hampton Inn failed miserable at both and seemed to show an unfortunate disregard for our wellbeing. Asked to speak to somebody in charge when I checked out early AM, there was nobody in charge at the time. Front desk staff could do nothing to address my issues. Once back home. I called Hilton Corporate office to file a complaint. Was given a case number. Sent an e-mail to the hotel manager with my complaints asking form my money back. Four days have gone by since doing that. No response from either, yet. Nothing but crickets. Never again, Hampton Inn, Pendleton, OR. Never again, indeed.

We always stay at the Hampton. The staff is so friendly including the night manager and the breakfast staff. Speaking of breakfast, there is a nice selection with multiple hot items and 2 different types of waffles.

We did a spur of the moment road trip from California to Montana. We decided that we need to find a room to get some sleep for a few hours. The hotel accommodated our 1 am check in which was nice. The girl at the counter was new and very nice. I did get double charged the $75 incidentals by mistake but by the time I checked out at 11 am it was already back on my card as I was leaving the hotel. The room was nice and clean. The shower felt so nice after 12 hours on the road. The bed was so comfortable. It was quiet and safe. The breakfast was really good and the staff was really accommodating. The only downside is we did confirm before booking the jacuzzi was working and when we went to go use it before we got back on the road it was closed until 2 pm. Overall if I do pass through the area again, I would stay again.

Busy making last-minute (second?) changes to travel plans on the phone and Cassandra at the front desk could not have been more helpful and amazingly cheerful because it was pre-dawn. We got just what we needed for a quick overnight and we were so thankful to her. The hotel is excellent, with everything you need — including complimentary coffee out at 5 a.m. We had a 2-Queen studio with an accessible tub and it was perfect, very roomy. The windows open slightly. Another wonderful asset to the hotel was Jason from Maintenance who was immediately on the spot when we had trouble with the electric window shades. Breakfast included the most delicious scrambled eggs, homemade biscuits, breads/bagels, yogurts and fresh apples/bananas. Laundry and fitness off the lobby, both open at 6 am (as does breakfast). A very good show indeed, GM Heather. See you next time, which incidentally will be our 4th visit here.

Booked through *******. Was placed in a room on the ground floor next to a mechanical room that had an extremely noisy machine running. Asked for a change of room and the staff said you have to go back to *******. It appeared that the staff knew there was a problem with that room. After demanding to speak to the manager , who wasn't available, i stated I'd be willing to pay more et ceterawho, the staff finally agreed to give us a different room. Turn out the room was actually less expensive, and the staff said the reason that they didn't offer another room is because it wasn't the same type of room we had reserved. They're logic made no sense. Very young staff member with no backup manager , etc.
