This was a Great beachfront location, excellent service was provided by all, The hotel was very clean inside and out . We enjoyed the two lazy rivers , pool, and the beachside bar. We rented chairs on the beach, excellent chairs, umbrella , and service. We stayed in a beachfront King room. It had a walk out balcony which we enjoyed sitting outside to enjoy the view. Everyone was very nice and helpful, we will definitely stay here again.

This hotel is over priced and over crowded. I would never stay here again and recommend staying in Fort Walton Beach instead or another hotel in Pensacola. We booked a Bay View room, the choices were standard, pool view, and bay view. We wanted the view of the ocean and paid extra for it when we were booking on ihg online. When we got to the hotel the employee at check in said it would cost an additional $75.00 for the gulf side and that our hotel room is on the bay side. This detail is not obvious on the ihg website and is very deceptive and is not truth in advertising. We paid an exorbitant amount already and didn't agree to pay another $75.00. That is taking advantage of customers and not providing customer service. I asked for an upgrade since they said I would have to pay another $75.00 and they never answered. We stayed at this hotel one night in August 2025. The swimming pool is overcrowded and old looking. The employees are not friendly and helpful. I called the Manager Gus twice on two different days and the employee who answered said Gus was in a meeting and would call me back. Gus never called me. I am still waiting for a resolution and a billing adjustment. This hotel also took the exorbitant amount for the room out of my account days before we were expected to arrive. They only care about money and unsuspecting guests will get taken advantage of with the deceptive practices of the hotel management. I am an IHG member and will look at discontinuing my membership after this experience.

We just returned from an improtptu stay at the Holiday Inn Resort Pensacola Beach, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. Our group included three adults and three kids ranging from 3 to 70 years old, and there was something for everyone to enjoy. We were in Orange Beach and decided to come and boy we are so happy we did!! The resort offers a great variety of games and activities for all ages—our kids had a blast playing ping pong, giant Jenga, and corn hole. There are scheduled activities going on all day, and during our visit, they even had a Pirate Show and a Mermaid Show, which were huge hits with the kids. On the weekends, there was live music on the pool decks, which added such a fun and relaxing vibe for the adults. We loved having access to multiple pools across different properties, plus at least four hot tubs (maybe more!). The lazy rivers, yes 2 of them, were my favorite part!! There’s also a game room and an indoor pool, which came in handy when the weather wasn’t ideal for the beach. Speaking of the beach—it was clean, beautiful, and just steps from the resort. The on-site food was tasty (better than most hotels), and the ice cream parlor was a hit with both kids and adults. The resort offers a full menu and a breakfast buffet that, while your typical Holiday Inn-style spread, was not bad at all. What really stood out was the exceptional service—especially from (I believe) Lisa, who was so kind to us this morning. Everyone we encountered was geniuenly friendly, accomodating, and every staff member we met welcomed us. I also want to give a special shoutout to Devin at the bar, who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. His hospitality really helped make the trip memorable. There was another person helping him out, I think it was Matthew? but you guys really hit it out of the park! As an IHG Rewards member, I was pleasantly surprised with a complimentary upgrade to a balcony room, which made our stay even better—especially since I didn’t even ask for it. The balcony view was absolutely beautiful, and the room itself was very comfortable. The beds were cozy, the water pressure in the bathroom was perfect, and the hot water never ran out—all the little things that really make a difference after a long day at the beach. I wish I could remember the awesome ladies who checked us in but they were working together Tuesday around 2pm and really helped us get to using the facilities even though we couldn't check in yet. They also called us when our rooms were ready. Awesome service! This resort truly offers the best of both worlds: family fun and adult relaxation. We’re already planning our return trip. Highly recommend to families, couples, and anyone looking for a stress-free beach getaway!

My family had a fantastic experience at the Holiday Inn Resort. The location is excellent, there are many things to do for families and the staff were very attentive. I appreciated how clean the staff kept the building with so many beach and pool goers. We will definitely return.

Our stay at this IHG property was the worst vacation experience our family has had, and we’ve decided to pursue closing our IHG credit cards and switch hotel brands because of it. In the weeks leading up to our stay, I reached out to IHG customer care to request an upgrade using my Platinum Elite benefits. While none were available to book with points, I was told my request was noted, along with a late checkout. I’ve made the same request on the last five IHG stays, since it is advertised as a part of our benefits. When we arrived, there was no acknowledgment of my membership status and no mention of the upgrade, late checkout request, or our prepaid breakfast. I asked again at check-in and was simply told they couldn’t accommodate either one. I understand that availability can be limited, but the lack of communication, flexibility, and even basic courtesy was jarring. Ironically, the same day, I received a message asking if I’d like to upgrade my room at $75 per night. So, it appears infrared were available, and they decided to not honor our request. To make things worse, the night before checkout I received an automated message asking if I’d like to pay for a late checkout right after being told that late checkouts can’t even be requested until the morning of departure. This made it clear that loyalty benefits are meaningless when the priority is up charging instead. Beyond that, the hotel experience itself was unacceptable: • The room was not properly cleaned, we found sand in the bed and hair in the bathroom. • The pool area was overcrowded and completely unmonitored. Teen boys repeatedly pushed me in the pool after I asked them to stop, and then they pushed my six-year-old son off his float and told him to “fight me.” My son cannot swim well, and there was no staff anywhere to intervene or ensure guest safety. • I reported the incident to management, but no one ever followed up with me, we checked out and left early this morning. • Staff overall seemed dismissive when we asked for help or information. I never once saw staff intervene or monitor pool or restaurant? Frequently children aged 4-8 jumping into the hot tubs , sand everywhere in the pools. • Unsanitary Conditions: I observed children walking barefoot at the buffet, stepping on bacon grease and no staff cleaned it up or asked them to put shoes on. Trash everywhere, overfilling trash cans on our floor, vomit or some other foul substance was outside our elevator on the 7th floor in the morning. The elevators smelled of bad body odor. We’ve been loyal IHG customers for years, but this experience has made it clear that loyalty no longer means anything. It was not deemed worthy to even reach out to us during the 5 days we were there. If this is what Platinum status gets you, we’ll take our business elsewhere.
