Premier Inn Bangor (Gwynedd, North Wales)

Very friendly and helpful staff on the reception desk. Would stay again. Train station shops and city centre are a 10 minutetaxi/car ride away.

Disappointing Premier Inn Experience compared to the usual consistency that I have experienced in the past. Bed and Shower was excellent but the WiFi is so atrocious which combined with the lack of mobile service in the area was quite problematic. The team tried to resolve this and said it is a common complaint but even the ultimate WiFi left a lot to be desired Rooms are meltingly hot and window restrictors prevent fresh air from being able to get in so even although it was 15 C outside it was upwards of 25 C in the rooms with no fan in some rooms/way to cool the room down which left a very uncomfortable nights sleep. Cleaning was okay but we did find clumps of hair which did not belong to us on the bathroom floor. I’d not stay here again.

I got off to a bad start with this hotel. I was given a room with a full bin, used bedding, used wet towels. I was moved to a room with 3 beds crammed in. It was like a cheap hostel. The tea and coffee provided in the room is terrible. Weak and tasteless. If you’re vegetarian, vegan or don’t eat fried food the dinner menu is extremely limited. Breakfast was a joke. Menu items weren’t available. The orange juice at breakfast had been substituted with a mixed juice with grapefruit. There was a small sign stating this, although it said Orange Juice in large letters and you had to read the notice to see the mention of grapefruit. Grapefruit juice should not be consumed, even in small quantities by many people on a range of common medications and can be very dangerous, even in small quantities. The staff, including the manager were not aware of this.

Room was very clean and tidy, no issues at all. The staff, particularly Jodie, was helpful and was very kind, giving us free breakfast, as we were staying for my partners 60th. Location perfect for Zip world and other places we wanted to visit. Food at Table Table was also really good, and the breakfast was just as we had ordered it.

One rather rude member of staff made us feel uncomfortable.Believe her name was Gemma she spoke down to me and the rest of the guests pub next door was good room clean but miss match of furniture. Probably wouldn't return had wanted to stay at the Holyhead hotel but stayed here as it was cheaper.
