The landscaping and architecture gives the most amazing tropical feel, with birds and animals around you. The service staff are always willing to help, most speak English. The bird sighting and daily bonfires are a really nice touch. Breakfast options are varied, local and international. Lunch and dinner options are less inspiring and rather pricey, but there are really good options a few minutes away. The WiFi connection was unstable, with limited entertainment options in the room. The rooms are dated though comfortable, dogs on the premises were sometimes loud past midnight. It was difficult to get appointments at the spa without long planning.

Our experience at Sazagua was nearly perfect. The hotel itself is absolutely gorgeous, and we stayed in the Lodge suite, which was spectacular. Surrounded by lush greenery, it felt like our own private retreat. The room was beautifully designed, and the bathroom was especially unique, giving us the feeling of being outdoors while still having the comfort and privacy of being inside. Plus, having our own hot tub added that extra touch of luxury. The restaurant staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure every meal was a pleasant experience. Unfortunately, I didn’t catch their names, but they were wonderful and made us feel welcome every time we dined. Sazagua’s location in Colombia's coffee region is ideal. It’s a short drive to some of the best spots in the area, including Finlandia, and we loved being able to easily explore the region. One of the most magical parts of our stay was enjoying breakfast while watching the birds every morning. It was such a serene and calming experience that added to the overall charm of the place. That said, we did have a couple of issues that slightly took away from the magic. Our Lodge was located near the owner's house, and their dogs would bark late at night and early in the morning, which disturbed the peaceful atmosphere. Additionally, there was construction happening right next to us, which started very early on both Saturday and Sunday mornings. The noise from the construction was jarring and interrupted the otherwise tranquil environment. Overall, Sazagua is an incredible place to stay, offering beauty, serenity, and top-notch service. If it weren’t for the noise distractions, it would have been a perfect escape. Still, I would highly recommend it for anyone visiting the coffee region, as it offers a truly unique and beautiful experience.
