Valhalla Perisher

I highly recommend Valhalla for a place to stay in Perisher. Up in the mountains away from the busyness of town. Hiking at our doorstep. We were a group of ladies staying for a hiking weekend. Valhalla had a lovely, relaxing and inviting atmosphere. Food was simple but great tasting and good variety. The packed lunches were great for our days out. Rooms were very clean and well presented. Chris was helpful and had some good hiking recommendations. We will definitely be back for another summer hiking stay.!

What an absolutely amazing experience. I can not recommend Valhala Lodge enough. All credit to Bruce, an absolutely delightful host who goes above and beyond expectations, with his great attitude and friendly engaging manner. Would love to stay here again.

I recently spent 4 nights at Valhalla as part of a group of walkers. It was an absolute pleasure. We were made to feel right at home from the start. Clean spacious rooms, excellent meals and beautiful surroundings. We had memorable communal lounge gatherings each evening in front of the fire when it rained or on the deck when it was sunny. I can highly recommend a summertime visit to Snowy Mts.

Our family stayed for Christmas and I can honestly say it was one of the best Christmas's we've ever had! The hospitality from Bruce was second to none; warm, generous, and sensitive to our needs. We were completely spoiled by wonderful meals and food, and the comfort of the lodge itself which was all decorated in Christmas spirit. The weather being cold and wet gave us a feel of a European Christmas; Smell of the log fire cosy and warm, games and drinks enjoyed by the fire, views of the mountains, the freshness of the air and even the walk in the fog to Porcupine Rocks.

We recently spent 4 nights at this lovely lodge with a walking group. The lodge was clean, spacious and very inviting. The hosts Clare and Drew where very friendly, knowledgeable and informative about the local area. The food was outstanding, our hosts were excellent and they looked after our many dietary requirements while making us feel at home. We loved Valhalla! I was super stressed heading to Perisher as the new online booking system had all sorts of issues and I’d not been able to get any assistance. All I wanted was a good time for my kids and husband to experience snow and skiing for the first time. The magical fairy Kylie, who manages Valhalla, FIXED EVERYTHING. I literally cried with gratitude and relief. And thus began a wonderful few days at Valhalla, now a cherished memory for the family. The lodge is exactly as pictured and described, only nicer and more fun. It’s very down to earth and not ‘posh’, which we appreciated. The rooms are spotless and very comfortable- possibly TOO warm! We all ended up hanging out in t shirts, trackies and socks. There’s a large games/tv room which my kids adored thanks to the ping pong table and smart tv. They happily hung out here after the early kid dinner. We started our day with the yummy cooked breakfast (be sure to order early if you want to depart early), took over snow transport down for the kids first lesson (and I skied out - easy to do, particularly if you have the kids start at the bottom of the driveway), headed up after 330pm on the included over snow, and built snowmen, had snowball fights and tobogganed. Snacks (eg cheese, biscuits, dips) are served around 5-530, kid dinner at 6, and adult dinner at 7. There’s a special Yule dinner Saturday night that was tons of fun and the kids loved. The staff are super friendly and easy going, and again, Kylie is a magician who fixed all our problems. The one and only problem with Valhalla was that we will never be able to stay anywhere else!
