Honest Feedback on Our Stay at Lamel Cove Beach Resort (March 28, 2025) Based on the reviews, we booked Lamel Cove Beach Resort for a two-night family outing (March 28–29, 2025) with 21 people. However, our experience was disappointing, and we ended up leaving within a few hours. Misleading Name & Poor Location • The name Lamel Cove Beach Resort is misleading—this is not a resort. Instead, it’s a narrow different floor houses with limited space. A small back gate leads to a messy and dirty fisherman’s dock. • The entrance is confusing due to a narrow road and its interior location. • They do not have proper parking—only space for about 5-6 cars in front.Guests are asked to unload luggage and park elsewhere, which is highly inconvenient. • They claim to have different room types, but all are of poor quality and look the same.“Garden View” rooms are just ground-floor rooms with a few plants. • Poor planning for group bookings—our group was split into different room types, views, and floors. Many rooms faced walls. • Upon check-in, they collected ID cards and insisted on taking an additional photo with their webcam, citing “local police policy” without a clear explanation. • The reception area is too small (fits about 7-8 people), and the receptionist was rude. • Since our group arrived in separate cars, we requested some time (30-60 minutes) to provide all ID cards. The receptionist refused to check us in until all were submitted, leading to unnecessary arguments. • During the argument, the receptionist called their internal sales team and spoke in Tamil, saying, “You should have taken full payment from this group so they shut their mouths and stay.” He was unaware that we understood Tamil. • Due to poor room quality, we decided to leave within 3-4 hours and moved to another hotel. Our ₹25,000 advance payment was not refunded. If you’re traveling with family or a large group, this is not the place to stay. The property is misrepresented as a resort, lacks basic facilities, and has poor customer service. Note: Lamel Cove is not a resort but a narrow different floor house with limited amenities.

I am writing our experience what we had.booked sea view rooms with balcony. Beach connected to rooms are very bad. Too much littering by outside public. You will have a 24/7 drain smell.rooms are clean but old staff are good.food is not good. We feel garden view rooms are better. Serenity beach for stay is not good .

It was a great stay at the resort. The staff was very cordial and even helped us with the local tourist spots.
