Ratings for all except service based on website. rating on SERVICE based on experience for reasons entirely out of my control, I had to cancel my stay 24hrs beforehand. I called to let them know. I advised I had to cancel and the reply was (word for word) " ok , that's still chargeable". NO ' I'm sorry to hear that' NO "maybe we can find another date so you don't lose your money"... no ' we can't refund you but do you want a credit on account'. if I'd have phoned 12 hours earlier my money would have been refunded or I could have amended my booking. the blame was put on TRIP as I was told ' you booked through them and they wont help you. So I'll be avoiding this place when I go up for my trip, and I'd advise others to avoid places with staff as uninterested as here.

Stayed a couple of nights in this lovely hotel on our way to the Orkneys. Met by friendly receptionist who made us feel very welcome. We booked a superior double room which had the biggest shower room I’ve seen in an hotel. Room was decorated nicely, not a speck of dust or chipped paint work in sight!!! Hotel is situated walking distance into Perth, next to train station and surrounded by a large park area. We decided to eat in the restaurant on our first night, which was reasonably priced and tasted amazing. Our waiter was very efficient, who had actually made an effort to look the part, dressing smartly and holding polite conversation throughout the evening. The second evening we had drinks in the garden which was lit with fairy lights and heaters if you needed them. We left at 7am for the second leg of our journey with a packed breakfast, the receptionist had started her shift early to ensure our freshly made coffee was ready for our departure. The hotel team are outstanding in their duties and go the extra mile to ensure your stay is very enjoyable. You won’t regret your stay at this lovely hotel.

We had a lovely weekend break with dinner bed and breakfast. I was impressed with the quality of the food and the menu, whilst small, was varied and so well done, great quality produce. Particularly loved the Tonka bean creme brulee and the cod dish. Breakfast choices were plentiful, and all freshly served - not buffet style. Staff were friendly and accommodating. The garden was beautiful and the location, with on site parking was ideal. Bedrooms comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.

Through the yeas we have had celebrations, many lunches and dinners here. Popped in today as we thought lunch here would be really nice. Got to reception and was told in no uncertain terms - no lunches today as a private party was in. Ok there were a few people in the middle room, no one at all in the conservatory. How odd in these very difficult time for hospitality, that a few more lunches could not be served No apology just NO.

My husband and I had our Golden Wedding celebration here recently and, as we live abroad, all the initial arrangements were made online but my questions were answered promptly and the menu sounded excellent. I was a bit apprehensive when I finally visited Parklands, only a couple of weeks before the event, but Alana set me at ease and made helpful suggestions. It was lovely having pre-dinner drinks on the patio , admiring the garden. The meal was delicious and the service efficient and friendly. Everybody had a good time and it was the relaxed and happy occasion that I had hoped for.

From my initial mistake of booking the wrong dates for a wedding I managed to still squeeze in and grab an amazing room. The Hotel was the shortest of walks from the train station which was a great advantage after a long journey up on the train. An amazingly warm welcome by my new friend who had sorted out my previous mistake we settled in and had dinner. The wizardry shown by the Chef in the lighter batter on my fish and chips was mind blowing. The food was so fresh, mushy peas and tartare sauce all freshly made. Breakfast had the best local produce on and the fresh black budding was along with the haggis the absolute icing on the cake! I can't recommend this hotel, the food and the amazing team that pull it all together highly enough.
