"I enjoyed my stay at Esplanade Hotel. It's old fashioned so maybe not to everyone's taste, but it's full of character. The staff at reception were friendly and very helpful, allowing me to borrow a phone charger. The room was spacious and had a nice view of the sea. Breakfast was buffet style and had everything I needed to eat. The highlight though was the lovely sea view while eating breakfast. Location is very good, in the city centre. It's roughly a ten minute walk from the train and bus station and across the road from the beach. I would definitely stay at this hotel again."

"A city with a lovely waterfront promenade and some stretches of public beach (unfortunately very dirty, especially after late-night revelry), nice shops and restaurants, a pedestrianized center, and, alas, a city without a historic center; unlike almost all Italian cities, it's very anonymous. Its saving grace is the waterfront...but still, a pleasant spot for a weekend by the sea."
