The Petit Hotel Island provides a great place for travelers to relax after a busy day. The Petit Hotel Island is an ideal choice for travelers who want to take in the sights and sounds of Miyakejima. With multiple attractions nearby including Oshaku Shrine, Sanshichiyama and Igaya Beach, guests will find plenty to keep themselves occupied. After a long day of sightseeing, guests can retire to the comfort of the hotel. When it comes to Miyakejima hotels, the Petit Hotel Island is highly regarded for its excellent facilities.
"I stayed in a Western-style room with a private bathroom and toilet, and overall had a truly pleasant experience 🤗 The hotel is in a quiet part of the island and was very easy to reach by bus after arriving by ferry—it brought me straight to the hotel.
Arrival time also overlaps with breakfast, and you can pay to enjoy a Japanese-style meal. I also noticed peanut butter, jelly, and chocolate spread on the shelf. The hotel kindly gave me a lift to the bike shop, which made things so much easier.
That said, if you’re a pedestrian like me and want to explore mostly on foot, this hotel might not be the most practical base. The surrounding area isn’t ideal for walking, and key spots are spread out. But if you have a car or are here just for the dolphin 🐬 swim tour (they offer hotel pickup), then it’s a perfect place to stay.
One suggestion: it would be great to have a bike rental station near the hotel. It’s close to the start of a 1-kilometer biking mark, so it would make sense as a launch point. Right now, you have to rent a bike on the other side of town, cycle past the hotel again, and return it later by bus—so having rentals nearby would really improve the experience."
