Lovely beachfront location to enjoy the amazing sunsets on Phu Quoc island. Breakfast was lovely and the beachfront restaurant had an extensive menu. Would love to stay again.

In terms of location, it is indeed very close to the sea. It takes about 2 minutes to walk from the room to the beach, and you can see a beautiful sunset. However, for this location, you need to walk a long time from the main road to the hotel entrance, especially the small road leading to the hotel is bumpy and not friendly to people dragging suitcases. The garden environment is very good, with flowers and trees, wax apples and jackfruit trees, but the price paid is too many mosquitoes. The hygiene in the room is very poor, at the level of a farmhouse, the bath towels are very old and dirty, and the weird thing is the bedding. The quilt cover can be opened all around, and even every edge of the quilt can see the quilt core covered with yellow dirty marks. All the water and drinks seen in the room are charged, there is no free mineral water, you can only bring your own bottle to get purified water from the restaurant. The air conditioning in the room is not good, and the door gap is large, so mosquitoes will enter, and you must use a mosquito net when sleeping. There is no TV in the room. Because it is an outdoor open-air bathroom, there are ants in the bathroom. The tap water in the bathroom will obviously taste bitter when brushing your teeth and rinsing your mouth. The breakfast is not good, with very few varieties, and an additional breakfast for a child costs an extra $15. When booking, it should be a room with a queen size bed and a single bed. The front desk changed it to a room with only one bed on the pretext of upgrading, and an extra bed costs an extra $25. Because of the language problem, the Vietnamese English has a heavy accent, so I didn't want to argue, so I just slept for one night. The price is completely inconsistent with the room quality. I don't understand why there are so many good reviews. This is the worst hotel on this trip, avoid it!

We were extremely satisfied. It was our first hotel after arriving in Vietnam. Service, friendliness, scooter rental - we were completely satisfied. We would have liked to come back later but unfortunately it was fully booked. Keep it up...

The location view. The garden was good, but the room and bathroom were mosquito dens, so I had a hard time fighting the mosquito war, and there was no mosquito repellent or mosquito catching F killer, so I went to the mart and even if I used up one F Killer a day, they said they didn't support it. It's about Ral, and part of the ceiling in the bathroom is open, so it's a mosquito den.
There are too many around the curtains. The breakfast is good, the garden is good, but I won't go there again. Bokeunbap at the beachside restaurant is very delicious ㅡ highly recommended.

This resort is conveniently located. Has the front entrance which is down a lane way (great cafes, stores & restaurants in this lane way- 15 minute walk) and it has the beach frontage. It provides suns beds with cushioning. Beach towels provided in your room & replaced daily. The beach bar is fully stocked and provides meal service. Great quality & tasty food. Staff are lovely. You must approach the bar for orders. Staff do not approach you while resting on the beach. We had a beach view bungalow. It was perfect. Loved the positioning (22). Comfy bed, outdoor bathroom (beautiful experience) minibar/fridge & tea & coffee facility. Mesh over the bed. House keeping daily. House keeping staff are wonderful & friendly. Breakfast was great. Had Pho everyday, usually 2 bowls. Loved it. Staff could be a little more friendlier with service with a smile. Not sure why they didn't like me. I tried being very polite. A decent variety of breakfast food to choose from. Reception staff are very friendly. Great pool. Mosquitos - coils should be provided for the out door bathroom. No milk provided or 3 in 1 coffee. So I did not use this option. Great cafes nearby or bring your own. No soap at the basin or body wash. Only shampoo was provided.

I spent weeks researching resorts on Phu Quoc and booked this last-minute and couldn't be happier with our choice!!! We were upgraded to a superior bungalow with garden view and decided to extend our stay to 4 nights but could have stayed much longer! This is a family-run local resort with the perfect atmosphere for a relaxing island stay. Good value for money, and close enough to town for convenience but also further enough away from others to be quiet and peaceful. To enjoy your time, you will have to accept that there are some mosquitos and small geckos that enter the room (mosquito nets provided) and there is no TV but perfect for switching off and relaxing. The bathroom is exposed to the outside but private due to planting and carefully placed walls. We ate many times at the restaurant and enjoyed the cocktails, we found all the food to be really good and good value compared to other restaurants nearby. All the staff were friendly Both the pool and beach are nice, plenty of spots for loungers to relax (the beach loungers and trees were superior to all the neighbouring accomodation) , sunsets are excellent. Overall a place I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to others!!!

Quaint resort by the beach with extremely friendly and welcoming staff. We booked the deluxe family bungalow by the beach which was really lovely- though partially open air bathrooms made for difficult use during rain. The resort is beautiful designed to give you the impression of being in a village - not a concrete jungle. However it could do with a little modernising. There also was no real bar nor many options for restaurants- and breakfast option was also limited But overall a very nice stay - great food at the beach restaurant and a brilliant infinity pool looking out to the sea

Great hotel location, the infinity pool was awesome and the beach was really nice although spoiled by poeple that smoke so we didn't stay there much. Would be nice to separate the smokers from the normal poeple. Breakfast was good, plenty of choice , fruit, omelette on demand, pho on demand. (Only thing for me just like everywhere else vietnam is there's always fresh milk but never any other milk, soy or coconut would be awesome) Bar was handy and had plenty of drink options. Now onto the negative, which everyone knows the mosquitoes were apocalyptic. We first entered our room with the receptionist and it was Armageddon. They're flying everywhere there's sitting on pillows. So after settling in we asked for them to spray then we came back. It was much better then it was just a matter of continuing it. We were quick to open close the bathroom, never had lights on, opened the front doors quickly. It was a constant mission We ended up going to a store called king Kong I think and armed ourselves with room spray, and a diffuser. So my advice is although the mosquitoes will be there I'd say before your guests arrive do the extra room spray I think it looks better for you guys rather than WalkIng into a room with 100 mosquitoes. As part of checking in you can always ask the quests to wait 30 minutes or something because walking into that room may surprised us and it was scary. Also I believe amounted to 5$ I feel like as parts of keeping your customers happy its a decent investment. Second thing for me was the beds were hard as hell. I woke my first night and with the mosquito situation I was ready to book somewhere else. So I think this is a preference thing if you like hard almost like you're sleeping on wood beds than this is the place for you. Third negative is the restaurant bar, our first night we ate there and we never ate dinner again. It looks understaffed, the staff is doing all the bar drinks as well as serving and manning some BBQ thing on the beach. We ordered the fish which wasn't described on the menu and ended being some sort of carp bottom feeder that tastes like dirt. So unfortunately we just ate out after that. Despite all this after the mosquitoes were under control, we enjoyed our stay and the negative are a bit balanced.

Free sunbeds both at the Beach and by the pool. Walking distance to the city center with at large number of restaurents. We will for sure stay here again

Stayed at Thanh Kieu Resort for a week after coming over from Thailand.Direct flights with Vietjet from Bangkok getting here much easier & if you’re British you can get a 15 day visa free stay in arrival. The hotel with its quaint bungalows and beautiful gardens are reminiscent of some of the Thai islands which are also located in The Gulf of Thailand rather than the South China Sea as I’d previously thought. The bungalows are all individually laid out, fairly basic but clean and tidy.No television.Bathroom/shower is outdoors and basic.Beds have mosquito net which is essential as it’s very difficult to keep them from entering the room. Breakfast in pleasant building in middle of gardens.Finishes at 9-30am which is a little early but not an issue. No bottled water in rooms but filtered water available near restaurant. In theory excellent idea saving plastic but in practice a little difficult going back and fire to refill as drinking plenty of water in the heat is very important. The beach restaurant and beach area is probably the nicest stretch of Duong Dong with squeaky white sands,a covering of palm trees with ample sunbeds, plus a lovely swimming pool area overlooking the sea. The resort leads to the busy main road via a small lane with lots of shops and BBQ seafood restaurants. The main road again has many dining options and is in a great location probably a few kilometres from the busy night market. Very friendly staff especially Moon and Gerry who work hard everyday in the beach restaurant. Overall a very enjoyable stay.

We loved our time at Thanh Kieu. We spent Christmas on the beach, and loved how special the staff made it for us. The bungalows are lovely and clean with comfortable beds and good air conditioning. The beach is awesome. Lots of loungers, clean, with nice areas to swim. The breakfast was one of our favorites in Vietnam. The pool was great. The only part we didn’t love was outside of the resort. The “town” isn’t anything special and the tour we went on the the cable car and islands was disappointing.
