All rated as 1*, but location is good.
We have booked 2 rooms in August’24 for our vocation 30.10-9.11.2024. When we have arrived - we were settled in rooms, one of them was terrible. Faucet was rusty, sink was leaking, in bathroom on the floor all time was water, you always should keep in mind that you can slip and fall. The water was pouring through the wall - near was bed. The bathroom’s door has not handle, was dirty. Staff didn't make an effort to change room for us. Do not recommended this hotel for vocation.

Pros:
Very clean
Some of the furniture was recently replaced (new)
Comfortable bed
Great location at the north end of Kata beach
Lots of great restaurants very close
Big balcony
Ok:
Reception staff were polite but not friendly
Cons:
Water pressure was very low ( hot water was almost non existent)
Power stability - voltage dropped repeatedly each evening
Aircon - needed to set it on 16 to get 25 degrees
There's a very steep hill to go down and up - it's a significant factor for those who are less fit or less mobile.
It suited me for what I needed and I would consider coming back another time.

Stayed at Kataonsea Bungalows – the location is great, close to the beach and cafes, and relatively quiet. However, the bungalows are quite worn out and in need of renovation. For the price, I expected more comfort. If location and tranquility are your top priorities, it might be an option, but there are better choices for the same money.

Bad cleaning, old apartment, terrible service, at the reception there are Indians, not Thai. Not recommended. The Thai staff is good though

The hotel has a good location (you need to walk 10 to reach the bungalows), the problem was our room smell. Really moldy and unpleasant. Lucky we stayed only one night. If there wasn't this issue it was a good stay.

The accommodation is at the top of a very steep hill, I wouldn't advise too many trips up and down if you are elderly or have a heart condition.
The accommodation was clean enough, however towels were not, and replacements were not provided upon request, the shower is just a trickle of water, obviously lacking water pressure.
The pool was nice, but could do with a clean and turning the filtration system on, would help.

Stay away from this awful place!!! The staff is terrible, they do not care of nothing. The owner is not Thai, so don't expect Thai-Service standart. The bungalows are dirty and broken, the mattress is filthy and broken as well, the staff doesn't help solving anything. Our room key was broken, it took them 3 hours to let us inside our room, and they did even apologize for the inconvenience. Do yourself a favor, and find a different place to stay.
