Hotels in Karon Beach, Phuket

The best part of this hotel is the swimming pool and water park slide. There are three pools suitable for children of different ages, making it a great choice for families. The front desk and restaurant staff are friendly and helpful. However, there are some downsides. During the rainy season, the rooms are very damp, and the bed sheets and covers often feel moist. There are many insects in the room, sometimes even on the bed and in the bathroom. Housekeeping staff are polite, but they only use a broom and mop without a vacuum cleaner, so the floors are not cleaned thoroughly — there’s often hair and other debris left behind.

I am dissatisfied with my recent stay due to the following issues: • Children’s pool white drain cover caused falls, including my swollen foot; no fixes made. • Unannounced power outage for hours; staff denied responsibility, offered only fruit as compensation. • Room marketed as new but materials worn; neighbor’s doorbell rang in my room due to thin walls. • Inconsistent housekeeping; bathrobes once left rolled on my bed. • Post-renovation design unfit for families; toilet and bed separated by a curtain.

How do I start? Hmm, okay... The resort was superb! Im a person that will look into reviews comment about specific hotel. So I choose Mandarava since I read a lot of positive review about this resort! It was my superb time at here! The staff was friendly and kind! I love their foooodddd it was so damn nice and super fast!!! 💕💕💕😍😍😍 but the thing that need to be improvise is communication. I was a bit dissappointed when I have to bear the trouble becuase of their miscommunication between hotel and trips.com agency. But nevertheless I enjoyed my time here!

Very good location, walking distance to Karon beach and convenient to get food around the hotel area, hotel staff are very friendly and helpful👍👍👍 The only part that needs improvement is the shower and toilet amenities are old, the shower head needs to be replaced with a new one as it does not function well. But overall we enjoy our stay there as this is only a minor issue for us. Everything else is fine 👍 The sunset view from our balcony is also an added point. Will recommend staying here if you want a convenient and nice stay in Karon.

Hotel is right on the beach in Karon (only hotel which offers this I believe) so the location is perfect for those who want beach access. Nothing else in the nearby area though, apart from a beach restaurant called Daengs - very reasonably priced food and drinks here; you will visit this place plenty rather than eating and drinking in the hotel. Compared to what you get outside, the hotels prices are high and you’d be foolish to eat all the time in the hotel with so many great food options in Karon, Patong and Kata. Karon town centre is about a 15-20 min walk along the beach - you have to cross a river on the beach so be prepared to get wet feet. Otherwise the walk into town is on a busy road with no walkway, so be prepared to use Bolt (this is best for Phuket NOT Grab) or a taxi to get anywhere from this hotel unless you walk along the beach. Our room was huge - Premium Room - and we had a huge wraparound balcony. However the balcony seemed like a bit of a waste of space (the “lounge” area was outside) - personally I think if it’s going to be designed as a suite with a lounge area, that should be inside the room not on the balcony as it was a waste of space. I’d probably only book this room category if I liked sitting outside all the time - a standard balcony with more space inside would’ve worked better. Having said that, the buildings and the grounds are IMMACULATE and BEAUTIFUL and you really do feel like you are staying in a paradise resort. The pool areas are great, there is a lazy river, slides and a cliff you can jump off - it’s a lot of fun for water babies! The only downside (other than no 7-11 or no other restaurants nearby) is that there are a LOT OF STAIRS to tackle here at the resort. There seem to be only 2 x elevators which will take you from the ground floor up to the bedrooms - and they are situated at either end of all the blocks. We stayed in block 4 and it was a 15 min trek back to the room from the pool. Or you walk up 72 stairs…yes, 72 stairs, to get to your block. Not advisable for elderly or infirm people. If there were more elevators (and clearly marked step free access) then this would make the resort a lot better.

I stayed at the hotel for two nights. On the first night, there was a small issue with cleanliness, but the front desk staff handled it very well quickly arranged a room change and offered complimentary breakfast as an apology. I was truly impressed by their care and responsiveness. The room was clean and comfortable, and the rest of the hotel was well maintained with a pleasant atmosphere. Thank you to all the staff. I would gladly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great stay with excellent service.

Hotel room is spacious, suitable for families. But the pools are designed in a segregated way that each pool are not at all connected to each other. The ONLY WAY to access the pool is through small hallway entrances from the side of the hotel buildings, which makes it annoying and troublesome. Plus the cement on the walkway is super slippery and has got sharp rough edges too, which is actually dangerous for kids. Please improve

I'd seen some less-than-stellar reviews before our stay, but after experiencing it myself, I found it to be excellent, and my family was very happy too. One of the staff members at the front desk spoke a little Chinese. The main lobby is open-air with no air conditioning. The hotel's hallways are designed in a simple yet elegant white Greek style. Interestingly, the bellhop wore slippers when entering our room with our luggage. The room looked exactly like the photos. The mirrored doors are all solid wood, which is quite a departure from what's common in China. We were lucky enough that our room had a sea view on the second day, offering views of the entire resort. The breakfast area is also partially open-air and partially air-conditioned. There were many Western guests, and everyone was very polite. Plenty of restaurants conveniently located by the pool made dining very easy. To the right, there's an ice cream parlor, and to the left, a gym. Even further left is a direct pool access room, but be warned, it can get very noisy at night as it's close to the road with many loud motorcycles. The hotel's back gate provides very convenient access to the beach, just across the street. Staying here, you truly don't need to venture anywhere else. Our kids absolutely loved swimming and digging in the sand every single day. In the evenings, there were plenty of late-night food stalls nearby, and a 7-Eleven, which, though not large, was perfectly sufficient. I would definitely choose this hotel again for our next visit.

The rooms are individual bungalows. If you book a sea view room, the ocean is right there as you open your door. (Though I had emailed well in advance to request a room with a good view, unfortunately, many trees still obstructed it.) I also observed that the sea views from rooms assigned to other guests, particularly Westerners, appeared to be better than those given to Chinese visitors. The breakfast was quite a generic Western-style spread; after four days, I was completely fed up with it. There were no convenience stores or supermarkets like 7-Eleven nearby, so food delivery was the only option. On a positive note, the service was excellent. Even arriving at 1 AM, the staff were incredibly enthusiastic and helpful with the check-in process.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had a wonderful stay at Pullman Phuket Karon Beach Resort! The location is perfect — peaceful yet close to everything. The resort itself is beautiful, very well-maintained, and exceptionally clean. The food was absolutely amazing with a great variety and taste. What truly made our stay memorable was the cooperative and friendly staff — their service was outstanding throughout. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing and luxurious experience in Phuket!
