Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Pamookkoo. Location was perfect, walking distance to everything in Kata. Our room was clean and well equipped and my 6YO enjoyed all the water slides. Unfortunately most guests did not speak English so it was difficult to find other children to play with. The kids club was fantastic and my child was always asking to go play there. Breakfast options were plentiful and we were always able to find a seat but wow it was chaos. We would stay again.

First time staying here
Location : decent , it’s a bit far from the whole busy street but they offer golf carts to bring you there . Sometimes you have a wait a bit longer for the kart to come.
Hotel is pretty new so things are still ok
The pool water is very cold all day long .
The staff is decent and the gym room is very nice !
We had to Change rooms on the second night because there’s an awful sewer smell coming from our bathroom . This could be because we had a ground floor room with pool access so I wouldn’t recommend it .
The sound insulation is **** so you can hear people flushing their toilets at night.
Not much excitement from the hotel at night

I recently stayed at this resort and had a wonderful experience overall. The rooms were clean, modern, and very comfortable, nice pool, gym and and game room. Delicious breakfast!
The location offers beautiful views and a peaceful atmosphere, perfect for a relaxing getaway. However, it’s worth noting that the resort is situated on a hill, which can make walking to and from the main road or nearby areas a bit challenging—especially in the heat or for those with mobility concerns.
All in all, it’s a fantastic place to unwind, and I’d definitely return.

It was a fantastic stay. Fantastic area of Kata beach, it was close to all the restaurants where we could try all the thai delicacies.
The breakfast was amazing!
Also amazing customer service from Max, Kruad & Dew! They allowed to check-out late on our day of departure since we had a late flight back to Bangkok!

I stayed at this hotel for 5 nights in March 2025.
First of all: if you have flexible travel dates, avoid Phuket in March — prices were absolutely insane. We paid €1,200 for two rooms, while the same rooms are available for only €530 at the end of June. Despite the high prices, I still enjoyed my stay at Aurico.
The hotel is located in Kata, which is considered one of the quieter and more relaxed areas of the island. Compared to the chaos of Patong, that might be true, but ”quiet and relaxed” is not really how I would describe it. The traffic was crazy, nightlife was everywhere, it was very crowded, and the worst part: as soon as you left the hotel, there was a strong and unpleasant smell of sewage, garbage, and fecal matter.
The hotel itself is situated in a small alley, well away from the street noise. Nearby, you’ll find many restaurants, shops, barbers, massage parlors, and bars. Many of the vendors actively try to attract customers. Due to the unpleasant smell, we didn’t try any of the local restaurants. Several 7-Elevens are within a 5-minute walk. The main road is also close, making it easy to catch a bus to nearby villages, beaches, and Phuket Town. The night market and bar street are about 10 minutes away on foot. Both Kata and Karon Beach can be reached within 10 minutes’ walk as well. The hotel also offers a shuttle service to Kata Beach twice a day.
The hotel opened in 2019, so it’s still relatively new. Unfortunately, the furniture already shows noticeable signs of wear, and the linens, curtains, and towels should definitely be replaced. Nevertheless, the room was spacious, clean enough, and the bed was comfortable. I also liked the private balcony.
The pool area is great. The pool itself is quite large, especially since some rooms have direct pool access. There’s also a whirlpool and a pool bar. The breakfast buffet was varied and delicious, with a daily changing selection. Thanks to many Chinese guests, there were tasty Chinese breakfast classics like steamed dumplings and fresh noodle soup. Additionally, there was bread and cold cuts, an egg station, pancakes, and every day some hot dishes which, in my opinion, didn’t really belong on a breakfast buffet (such as heavy meat dishes and pasta), but were still tasty. The à la carte dinner may have contributed to some of these unusual breakfast items being served as leftovers.
The front desk and restaurant staff were very friendly. Check-in time was quite late (after 2 PM).
Most of the other guests were from Russia and China, which was interesting. I won’t comment on why many German tourists seem to prefer staying in Patong — in my opinion, a complete shithole. Fortunately, all guests at Aurico were polite and well-behaved.
All in all, I enjoyed my stay at Aurico and in Kata, but overall I wasn’t very impressed by Phuket itself. It’s dirty, overcrowded, and overpriced. While Phuket is often called a tropical paradise, and the nature and weather are indeed tropical, it’s hard to fully enjoy the beauty. Too many disrespectful tourists who mistreat the locals, dirty beaches, and polluted seawater. I probably won’t return to Phuket. In the end, I was very glad not to have stayed in Patong, where the seawater turns brown from sewage being discharged into the ocean.
Two recommendations: Surin Beach and Phuket Old Town.

Great location on the beach and close to restaurants and bars. Pool is too crowded with so many sunbeds close together you can barely get up out of your chair, everybody is on top of each other. Breakfast is busy too! No face washers or hand towels in bathrooms and you have to wait for your room to be cleaned to replace your pool towel. Quite old now but well maintained.

We had a lovely stay at OZO Phuket. The rooms were clean, the staff were friendly, and the breakfast had a good variety. The pool area was a highlight - complete with slides, jacuzzi, and a kids’ section. It’s just a 5-minute walk to the beach via a private access gate, and right across the street from convenience stores, restaurants, and night markets. Super convenient location for a relaxing getaway.

Our first-floor room was very convenient. Although the facilities were just average, the views were absolutely gorgeous! The sunset, in particular, was breathtaking. The front desk staff were also very friendly and helpful, assisting us with calling a taxi. Regarding breakfast, I'd suggest skipping it; the food was mediocre, and the restaurant didn't have air conditioning.

GGuest UserThe hotel is very good! It is very close to Kata Beach and Kata Noi, a 15-minute walk. You can go swimming in Kata Noi in the morning. The water is very clear and there are many offshore fish. They are basically foreigners. There are not as many people as other beaches~ Very quiet~ The hotel environment is very good and quiet. It is on a hill and the style is very comfortable. It is also very convenient to eat around at night~ Especially the service attitude of the staff is very good!!! I couldn't lift heavy objects because of hand pain. The hotel staff took the initiative to help me move them. They also communicated with me gently. They were very polite and kind. Because the airport shuttle vehicle had not arrived, the staff also helped me contact the driver in time. They were very attentive! I will choose here again in the future!

GGuest UserThis hotel has a lot of potential; however, it’s definitely not up to the standard of a 4-5 star establishment. The staff was incredibly rude, especially the restaurant staff at the Red Chopstick. We were not allowed to take food away from the restaurant, and the breakfast staff was very unprofessional. My wife was sitting sideways with one of her legs up, and a waitress touched her leg to ask her to put it down as if she were a child. This incident happened twice, which was both humiliating and extremely disrespectful. It’s disappointing because we see potential in this hotel—the rooms are simply beautiful. However, the staff lacks manners and absolutely does not know how to cater to their customers, which is not up to a 4-5 star standard. Additionally, the room access is inconvenient; they should have a shuttle service to the rooms. I personally will not be visiting this hotel again. I do hope they take our criticism seriously and make the necessary improvements.

SShaleniHighly recommended! We felt completely at home here. We stayed in a one-bedroom and it was quite spacious and had a very large bathroom with a wet and dry area. Hot water was readily available. There was daily cleaning. The room came with basic amenities including 4 towels, soap, shampoo, bathmat, coffee, cups, TV, clothes hanger. There was also a balcony but since there were a lot of mosquitoes, we rarely used it. There was also a microwave in the pantry area that was very useful.
The room was very clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There were lots of restaurants and convenience stores within walking distance.
Breakfast was available everyday (coffee, milo, bread, margarine and jam).
There is also a pool and lots of places to lounge.
We really loved the place but just some points for feedback:
The sink area in the pantry had a lot of mosquitoes, probably could use some fogging.
Maybe butter can be served instead of margarine during breakfast as a healthier option.
The rooms could be provided with door signs so that guests can indicate if they want their rooms to be cleaned or not.
It would also be very helpful if the rooms could come with a chair which can be used for work.
We look forward to staying here again!

GGuest UserAmazing place. I highly recommend it for a romantic trip for two. 2-3 days of stay there is enough. The place is themed. Very beautiful evenings and a fantastic morning. The dosiki are located so that no one can see each other. Woke up - opened the doors wide. You lie on the bed and enjoy the beauty of nature. No one is looking at you, the birds are singing, there is no fuss, silence. Cool! The pool is good. In the morning you can order breakfast in their cafe! They cook with soul and deliciously!!!! Hotel on the mountain: in the morning you stand with coffee on the platform near the cafe and are stunned by yourself and your feelings. It's a pity the video can't be loaded. Everything was clear there right away

CCoramaomaoThe hotel's exterior and surroundings are absolutely beautiful, perfect for stunning photos. We booked a pool access room, which was very spacious. They even provided a beach bag for guests to use. Breakfast was decent. Although Kata Beach is only an 8-9 minute walk away, they do offer a tuk-tuk service. However, I never managed to use it as the timings didn't align with my schedule. Just a heads-up, the deposit must be paid in Thai Baht cash or Chinese Yuan, so it's best to prepare this in advance.

徐徐A little episode, I booked two rooms, and as a result, she only had one room! Bring us to another house diagonally opposite, the condition that took us to go is better than her home, and I can't wait for the difference in the room after communicating with Ctrip customer service. No room to stay, so there is nothing to evaluate, the picture below is the actual hotel, the room is clean, spacious, with balcony, single bed room, the bed is 2.2 meters wide and quiet

DDima MoldoThe hotel is really a paradise if you consider a cozy nice location. Rooms a big, a little bit old, but I guess that also gives a flair.
Bring enough mosquito repellent, this hotel is on the heart of nature, those little Bastards are just too many! 😂
