B&B l'Approdo

Where do we start, this place is fantastisco! Tony & Ana are 2 of the hardest working and happiest host we have met. The rooms are large & spacious. We had room with a balcony that over looks the restuarant and marina. The B &B is located in Piano di Sorrento in Marina di Cassano which is only a 4 minute train ride to downtown Sorrento. There is a shuttle service that runs every hour that is a 5 minute ride & will drop you off at the Piano di Sorrento train station. The L' Approdo Ristorante serves some amazing 5* dishes at 3* prices! The grilled Octopus can be cut with a fork and is delicioso! Eileen had the Fisermans Risotto and I savored over the Pacchero Swordfish and Eggplant. The evening was complete with Deconstruced Conolo tha was the best Riccto cheese filled we have ever tasted! This place is a gem and you will not regret your stay.

What a little gem B&B L'Approdo is! Spent a long weekend here with my daughter. Our room was large, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was lovely with pastries, fruit and toasties and the restaurant has a lovely view over the marina so we could watch the yachts and fishing boats come and go. We ate in their very popular restaurant on 2 nights and the food is really tasty, authentic Italian fare and the outlook is ideal for watching the sun set. ( Advise booking to avoid disappointment). Anna and Tony could not have been more helpful advising us on the best way to get a boat along the Amalfi coast, saving us an unnecessary trip into Sorrento, as boats go directly from the marina and it was a fabulous day trip. Anna also took us round to the " YouKnow" office to introduce us, so we could arrange a half day trip to Capri, which was very beautiful. L'Approdo is a super place to stay and to eat at, on this gorgeous coast.

If you want a convenient location to hop aboard one of the ferries either to visit Capri or the Amalfi Coast, L’Approdo is perfect, as it’s located down at the Marina. The best I can describe the Marina is that it is a small fishing village. The view there was exactly what our hearts needed … watching the boats come in and out of the small harbor. I can’t say enough good things about our hosts, Ana and Tony. Our room was perfect and very quiet at night. Our room was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. Staying down at the Marina takes you away from the noise and congestion of tourists. It’s an oasis. There is actually an elevator a few minutes away, that takes you to the top of the hillside to Sorrento. The cost is 1Euro/ person, is quick, and beats the walk up. They run a restaurant right across the street where we feasted on Seafood Ravioli, Spaghetti Vongole (clams), and pizza … the food was phenomenal, freshly made and reasonably priced. It’s also where you will be served with breakfast each morning, consisting of the best sweet croissants we’ve ever had, muffins, fruit, tea /coffee, fruit juice, cereal, etc. We are so thankful for our stay and look forward to returning for a visit. This was a lovely B&B and we couldn’t have asked for a better stay if we tried! This is a family run bed & breakfast. The room was very clean and comfortable and the continental breakfast was really nice. They also have a great lunch and dinner menu. The host organised taxis for us and boat trips as well which was really nice of them. It is moments away from the beach and all the restaurants that are close by serve great food and very reasonably priced. I would highly recommend! Hanna & Michael

The food is great as is the staff. Great hospitality. If you go to Sorrento go there ! We had some appetizers and main courses in which we had some wishes which were absolutely no problem. The view completes it all !

My wife and I had a great 4 nights at B&B L'Approdo. The hotel is down at the marina so not in the main town portion of Piano di Sorrento but don't worry there is a lift that will take you up and down which is quite convenient and you can always take a 10 minute walk (it's good exercise) as well. Tony and Anna are very friendly and go out of their way to make you comfortable. Our room was on the top floor, very spacious and comfortable. They also have a restaurant which served a nice breakfast and wonderful dinner and the beers are nice and cold. The location is a little isolated but its easy to get into town and a great place to use as a base for the Amalfi Coast, Pompeii, Sorrento ...
