"Nice breakfast. Hotel retains some charm and pre-war grandeur. The pool and saunas are nice, as is the staff. Jackhammering (two diggers) across the street, even Sunday. Beach amenities(about a dozen spots for cabanas/dual beach loungers) not open first two days, then just a “soft open” with no service while many other places had already opened(end of May/start of June). The “beach”location is bit of an exaggeration anyhow, exposed between a busy cafe and a construction site, and across the main boulevard from the hotel. Also charged 5x more in local taxes than what the reservation specified, not a large amount compared to other cities and presumably not the hotel’s doing but info should be more accurate during booking. The rooms are comfortable and as described, if slightly dated."

"The staff was very kind and helpful. We booked rooms with sea view. Panorama was amazing! Rooms were clean, beds were comfortable. We were staying in 4* Casa Rosa but we can use all the facilities in 5* Metropol hotel. Food was very delicious with wide selection of breakfast and dinner. Parking in the underground garage is 20€ daily. (2024) It s a shame there is no discount for hotel guests."

"This hotel was built in 1913. Fantastic location, right next to the sea front. The room with balcony provides a great view. We came in the office season, price was cheaper at around €140, compared to peak season at €300+. Hotel staff is great. Breakfast is decent, compared to many hotels during this trip. They provide shuttle service to bring you to the car park (garage). Piran has a no outside car policy. And the seafood restaurant right next to the hotel is great with very reasonable pricing."

"We had a lovely one night stay at the Hotel Barbara. We would have liked to stay another night but it was fully booked. Our room, 204, was really nice with a view onto the ocean and a small balcony with two chairs. Our only slightly niggle about the room was there was a 10cm step as you came out of the room which we both tripped up or down many times. The hotel is right on the coast and there are stone areas to sit with plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas. There are steps with railings to get into the sea - it was a lovely place to swim, so much so that we got up at dawn up have another swim before breakfast. Parking is tricky in Piran but we parked in a public area about 5 minutes walk away. We left our car there for two nights and one full day which cost £30. There is a shuttle bus from Hotel Barbara to Hotel Piran in the centre of town which was handy. There is also a beautiful walk on a path around the coast which we did in the day and also at night. It took about 25 minutes and was really lovely. We bathed off the path a few minutes from the hotel when the sun was very high as there was good shade there. The breakfast food and eating area were very nice with a good buffet food. We had a drink at the outdoor bar before leaving which wasn't so great as the music was blaring loud."

"Rooms Koblar has been recently renovated and is really up to modern standards at a very reasonable price. It has all the comforts you might want: large screen tv, refrigerator in room, wifi, air-conditioning and heating, parking right in front of the room.Check in is automated, and 24 hours available. On the grounds there is a large terrace with furniture where you can spend an enjoyable evening with a glass of wine. ( This you need to buy nearby and bring along.) Downtown Portoroz is within walking distance and Piran is s short drive from here. Breakfast is not served, but there are various cafes nearby. The owner is very friendly and helpful."

"The hotel located in a beautiful compact town with good infrastructure. The employees were so friendly, helpful. My room was located in the old building with a small balcony but there is a new one with large terraces. There is a hair and nail salon, a very good clothing store. The ice cream in the cafe is so delicious. The hotel has its private beach area, but you have go cross the road to get there, also people from outside passing by this area. The water in the sea was normal, the seabed is sandy, similar to the sea in north Italy. There also located some wild beaches not far from Portoroze. One minus was the breakfast, it was the worst I experienced in a five star hotel (poor choice). The good thing about that there was enough place for all guests. You could enjoy your meal inside or outside."

"يقع الفندق في مبنى إضافة لفندق ومتروبول كازينو، لذلك عليك أن تتلقى المفاتيح من الغرفة، فقط لا يمكنك الوصول إليها، لا يوجد هناك أي شخص دائمًا. أولاً، يذهب الفندق الرئيسي ثم هذا. عدت إلى الدور، ذهبت إليه أولاً، ثم عدت إليه، ثم عدت إليه. المسافة بينهما صغيرة، 100 متر. لكن لم يكن هناك وصف. من الرائع إستعمال حمام سباحة وإستحمام الفندق الرئيسي. الإفطار هناك. إنها رائعة، بالمناسبة، الفندق الرئيسي هو 5 نجوم. الرقم صغير، لكنه جيد، كل شيء على مستوى. هناك ثلاجة، محطة شاي. الشرفة لم تكن في تصنيفي، لكنها موجودة. وبدأت المطر في الصباح، لذا فقد كنت بدون مظلة، و اتصلت بالشرطة، وأحضروا مظلة، ووصلوا إلى الفندق. ثم أعطوني المظلة لأن المظلة استمرت ولم أخطط لإنهاءها. هذا الفندق راضٍ عنك"

"This hotel felt very clean. Our room felt spacious, nice balcony overlooking the water. Wonderful breakfast options. We won’t leave hungry. Dinner at the restaurant decent. Appreciate Darrin at the front desk. He always seemed to be there. I gave it four stars instead of five stars because twice the Cleaning crew walked into the bedroom early in the morning and we did not have a sign on the door telling them to come in to clean. As a matter of fact, we were sound asleep as it was around 8 AM and then again around 9 AM. That part was definitely not appreciated."
