Do not stay at this hotel. I recently spent one night here while visiting family, and they charged me $200 days after I checked out because they claimed I stole a blanket from the room. I have been a Hilton PLATINUM member for 20 years, staying at Intercontinentals all over the world. Why in the world would I come to Wilkes-Barre to this no-name CHEAP hotel and steal such a gross used item as a blanket. I attempted to rectify the situation with the front desk manager with no resolution. His response merely was that they were a brand new hotel and had pictures, indicating inventory. He also claimed that they had tried to contact me multiple times via phone, though no number is listed on my account. I requested proof of pictures to be emailed to me, and was then hung up on. I immediately called Hilton corporate, who spoke to the same manager on my behalf. I was then told he would drop the charge from $200 to $100! I found that highly insulting and very fishy. I'm currently disputing the charge with my credit card company. Needless to say, I will never stay there ever, I will stick to QUALITY hotels. PLEASE check your invoices and credit card statements, as I'm sure this was not the first time something like this occurred.
