Sonesta ES Suites Fort Lauderdale Plantation

Péssimo. Nao limpam quarto apenas para reservas em mais de 4 dias. Cafe da manhã nao tem metade dos itens das fotos. Levaria mamão e todos demais itens nao existem, tem que implorar para por cafe na máquina todo dia. Banheira entupida, muito caro para um hotel de 5a categoria. Nao recomendo a ninguem

On June 9, I checked into the Sonesta ES Suites Plantation for what would have been a 25-night stay. I was in the area for business, working 12-15 hours a day. On June 27, I reported to hotel management the presence of termites in my room (see photos). They called Ecolab, the company they use to control pests on property, to come and check it out. Marlon with Ecolab, entered my room a few hours later and immediately stated that what I was seeing was in fact termites. He was in my room a total of probably 15-20 minutes. During that time, we discussed termites in great detail and he did a thorough examination of my room. He asked me if I had seen evidence of termites anywhere else within the suite, which I had not. He checked every cabinet and piece of furniture. I previously had a home in South Florida that had termites and so I am very aware of what termite activity looks like. At this time, Marlon suggested I request a different room. The hotel had actually offered me a room change but I initially declined because I assumed if there were termites in one room they were probably in others (plus I would have to pack up and move all of the clothes and food I had brought with me for my nearly month long trip and I knew that would take hours that I didn’t have). While Marlon agreed with that assessment, he still recommended the room change because of the visual presence of termites (meaning there was current and visible activity). The dresser displaying the termite activity was removed from my room. I spoke with the hotel after Marlon left and they now did not have any rooms available to move me to. Being it was Friday night, this was understandable. This whole situation was extremely traumatic to me. I moved into a new home less than a year ago. The thought of taking termites back with me to my new home was extremely upsetting. I did not know what to do at this point. I still had another week on my trip. With no other option, I started researching other hotels in the area and seeing what was available on a Friday night. I sat there in tears on my computer thinking about what all of this meant for me and my belongings. After procuring a hotel thirty minutes away, I started the arduous task of packing. I made sure to check all of my belongings very carefully. I throughout everything made of wood or cardboard because that is termite food. I packed all of my clothes from the dresser that had termites into plastic bags so I could take them to be cleaned. I wasn’t going to take any chances that I might bring one of these pests back home with me. Meanwhile, the hotel produced a document stating there were no termites in my room. I find this lie very offensive since the evidence was clear. I even uploaded the photo to the internet and it came to the same conclusion (see photo). The hotel has continued with this lie even though they cannot produce an alternate explanation. Just as bad, I was treated so horribly by the hotel staff. There was not an ounce of

Property is very nice, clean and quote. Staff wasn't friendly, some of them too rude, specially the lady at the front desk on Sunday May 25th around 2pm she was really awful.
