What can we say that we did not on our last review. We loved it that’s why we came back. Location: is perfect and quiet. Hotel: Garden grounds have been well kept and grown beautifully. Room: Upgrade to sea view with balcony was perfect. Restaurant: From breakfast, lunch and dinner the food is great! Staff: As always first class. Wonderful people that great you with a smile. From the moment we arrived at Asterion after a brutal 4am flight from Amsterdam, we knew we had found somewhere special. To our surprise and delight, our room was ready well before check-in time, and we were warmly welcomed with a refreshing green smoothie, chilled water, and a personal greeting from the hotel manager, George. This thoughtful start set the tone for what became one of the most memorable holidays we’ve ever had. The staff here are simply outstanding. It’s impossible to single anyone out, as every single member of the team goes above and beyond with genuine warmth and personality. From reception to the restaurants, from the pool bar to even the friendly lifeguard, service was consistently impeccable, quick, friendly, and delivered with a smile. You truly feel that everyone takes pride in making guests feel at home. George, the resort manager, was always visible and approachable, eager to hear feedback and ensuring everything ran seamlessly. Our room (Cosmos, 201) was spotless, beautifully decorated, and very spacious, with a large patio perfect for afternoon lounging. The attention to detail was remarkable: high-quality linens and towels, thoughtful touches like daily chocolates and water, and everything immaculately maintained. The only tiny hiccup was a shower door that didn’t close fully, causing a little water on the floor, but housekeeping managed it flawlessly every day. Food at Asterion is simply divine, far beyond what we expected from an all-inclusive resort. Breakfast is a feast of fresh, high-quality options, with the best Greek yoghurt we’ve ever tasted. Lunch at the poolside à la carte restaurant felt like dining in a top-tier restaurant each day, with fresh ingredients, beautifully prepared dishes, and a menu that was both indulgent and satisfying (though after 8 days we did find it a little repetitive, so a seasonal rotation would make it even better). Dinner was where Asterion truly shone: whether at the buffet or the à la carte restaurant, every meal was a showcase of authentic flavors, cooked with passion and attention to detail. Every bite tasted fresh, perfectly balanced, and made with love, something we’ll be dreaming about until our return. One small improvement point we noticed is the outdoor bar’s grass seating area in the evenings. We loved sitting there after dinner to play games, but the space is quite dimly lit. A simple solution could be adding some portable table lamps at the seating areas, this would create a cozy atmosphere and make it much easier for guests to enjoy card games outside, rather than having to move into the well-lit lobby. It’s such a lovely spot that deserves to be used more at night, especially during the live performance evenings. The pool area is large, pristine, and wonderfully relaxing, with plenty of loungers available at any time. The beach is equally inviting, with comfortable loungers, a lifeguard on duty, and great facilities to make a full day by the sea a pleasure. We

If you’re considering booking at Asterion Suites & Spa – do it! We had the most fantastic week here and it has easily become our number 1 resort in Crete. The hotel has a beautifully intimate boho vibe that feels so relaxing. The food was an absolute highlight; we went all-inclusive and were blown away by the quality. Every meal was delicious, from the fresh breakfast selection, amazing lunches and the à la carte dinners! Surprisingly we even ate out one night but found ourselves missing the resort food!! Drinks were great, cocktails and branded spirits that made it feel extra special and premium. The staff were exceptional – polite, attentive and always checking in to make sure we were having the best time. Our rooms were cleaned daily, the mini fridge restocked, and there were always plenty of poolside beds. The beach was gorgeous, and being able to order drinks straight to our sunbeds through the app was just perfect. Thank you to the whole team for an unforgettable stay.

They remembered our names, where we were from, and even included words in our native language just to make us smile. Upon check-in, we received a complimentary room upgrade as well as a chilled bottle of sparkling wine and a platter of fresh fruit, which was a lovely touch. Our room was spotless, extremely comfortable, and had everything we needed. The entire hotel - both inside and out - was impeccably clean and well maintained. No matter the time of day, there were always available sunbeds and cabanas. The beach is sandy, with gentle pebbles at the water's edge. We also appreciated the convenience of ordering food and drinks straight to our sunbeds via a hotel app. Breakfasts were excellent and varied, and the lunch and dinner in the main restaurant offered a good selection of dishes. For dinner, we especially enjoyed the à la carte restaurant, which can be reserved through the hotel app. The menu was great, and live music in the evenings created an amazing atmosphere. Special thanks to Manolis, the restaurant manager, who made us feel like VIPs every night, and to Kostas and the rest of the team who were always warm and attentive. We also treated ourselves to a couple’s Cretan massage at the hotel’s spa, which was both relaxing and memorable.
