Antilia Apartments

Just to say a very belated thank you to Stelios and Rena for making our trip to Crete such a wonderful experience. We actually visited in October 2022 but no option for that in time of visit so had to choose 2024. The apartment was fantastic.It was spacious and spotless.The area around was very well maintained also.The views were amazing and made for a very relaxing holiday. Stelios is a great host.He is so helpful and goes above and beyond.We arrived very late on the first night and he showed us where we could get food which was very much appreciated.His advice and his local knowledge are what makes the holiday a great experience.His pride in his home place is very evident and great to see. We rented a car through him and this worked out very well for us . I would certainly recommend it and would return.

We had a lovely holiday at Antilia Apartments. It had a family feel and the owners were convivial and so helpful. Our two bedroomed apartment had a bathroom each and we had three balconies. Air conditioning worked well and needed as it was hot. Apartment was very clean. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful. Good bus service. Lovely swimming pool was kept well maintained. Hill going up to the apartments from town was quite steep when carrying shopping and in the heat. Fine for younger people than us though.

This is a gorgeous hotel, with the friendliest of owners. Stelios and Rena go above and beyond to help you on your stay. So friendly and warm and know so much about the local area. The hotel is in a lovely, peaceful location (be prepared to walk up a hill on your way back... but worth it for the peace and quiet). Beautiful views from your balcony and the pool area. There are restaurants in walking distance - Káneba is by far the best 👌 delicious food on every visit! They apparently have a lot of regular visitors and I can see why, I've never stayed in a hotel before with such lovely owners, Stelios will always stop for a chat with you and knows so much about everything! Rena is walm and welcoming and always able to advise on how to get to places. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is a lovely gem. Stelios and Rena are really friendly. Room spotless and we had a nice balcony. Kitchen area a bit basic. Nice pool and lovely flowers. Plenty of parking (we had a hire car). Beware Google maps tells you it is on the LH side of the road on approach from the village and it is on the RH side! Up the hill from the village centre of Tavronitis so you get good views of the bay. We didn't find the hill a problem to walk and it's actually rather nice after a meal at one of the tavernas in the village! We found it beautifully quiet. If you want partying you could bus into Platanias which is more of a resort. There are a couple of little supermarkets in the village and some cafes and tavernas, all easy walking distance (c 5mins). Beach is a bit further away (c 15 mins) but still very walkable.

We received a wonderful warm welcome from our hosts Stelios and Rena who epitomise the friendliness, warmth and hospitality of Greeks. This is a family business and the accommodation is of high standard for customers with higher expectations for their holiday. The cleanliness of the rooms and the pool is 5*. The apartments are up a hill with the most spectacular views of the Agean Sea. A few hundred metres down the hill is the working village of Tavronitis and its beach further on. It has a couple of mini markets, a bakery with daily fresh bread and cakes, butchers and a cafe, so you have everything you need to self cater even without a car. Regular and cheap buses in the village to go exploring. If you want to go further Rena will arrange a car for you. Don’t miss the excellent fish and seafood, including freshly caught lobster. Eating out is inexpensive from first class restaurants to local kebab houses. This is paradise!

A wonderfully warm welcome following our long travelling day. The owners are very friendly and really want the best for you and are so helpful and knowledgeable. Lovely accommodation and a beautiful setting, which is up a hill but manageable and therefore affords some amazing views
