Sandos Atlantic Gardens

Well, I have just returned on Monday from a week's holiday here. We're a couple in our 30s and 40s. We absolutely loved it. It was quiet, which is just how we wanted it. We had a sea view bungalow 326 or 236 ha. Was it looking a bit tired? Yes. Was it immaculately clean though? Yes it was. The cleaners, wow what a great job. In your room, fresh towels, bedding made up / changed daily. Staff, absolutely brilliant. Big shout out to diego in the bar, what a guy. Great Selection of drinks and great servie during the day and evening. The food? I was blown away. Never had a bad meal, everything was of very good quality. Those who have complained about it, are complaining over personal taste and wants not what was actually available. Selection of food, was pretty varied for lunch and dinner but staples stayed, such as your chips and stuff. As for breakfast, always spot on. If you want english bacon and sausages, stay at home. Youre in lanzarote, things are slightly different. Anyway, pool area was great, loads of beds stacked if you wanted some, yes people got up early to put towels down, both pools were immaculate, one normal pool, one sea water pool so you do get temperature changes. lifeguard ruled with an iron fist (my hero) if you're going to break the rules then you will be spoken to. It's a non smoking / vaping area, as a smoker i don't mind that. There's a smoking area in the corner. No music, great. Not everyone likes other peoples music. We honestly had such a good time, Peace and tranquility. It's a 3 star hotel, but a 3 star hotel I'd go back to time and time again over 4* I've stayed in over the years. You're about a 20 min walk from playa blanca, I'd suggest you hire a car. We paid €120 for 6 days hire, went all over the island, parked in front of the hotel. My biggest annoyance of this hotel, was leaving on the coach to the airport. You want a lively hotel with screaming kids? Go to one of the others. You want a relaxing holiday with respectful guests and very very attentive staff? Come here. Once again, the staff i take my hat off to you. I didn't once meet a member of staff that wasn't great. All extremely polite and hard working. The hotel entertainment? I wasn't really paying attention, we usually met other people and sat outside and it was background noise to us chatting and putting the world to rights.

Originally allocated bungalow 101 we asked to be moved as we were right next to the car park and overlooking the bins!! It was no problem for the hotel and they moved us to the much better bungalow 407. All bungalows would benefit from a bit of TLC but overall they’re comfortable. The staff are all lovely and made us feel very welcome. It’s a 10min walk to the nearest bars, restaurants and beach. The food at the hotel is ok. A bit more variety would be nice but for the money it’s reasonable. It was our first time visiting Lanzarote and we enjoyed our stay, I would happily recommend the hotel for anyone considering staying

My friend and I were after a relaxed chilled holiday and that’s exactly what we got. We arrived late to the hotel and had missed dinner, but the lovely staff had left out a cold buffet selection for us which was much appreciated. The staff were lovely, the atmosphere was chilled and the gardens were beautiful. We really appreciated that there was recycling and eco gardens. The drinks and food were brilliant. The hotel also has 3 beautiful cats that are well looked after; it became part of our routine to look for them each day. This fitted in with the way the street cats are looked after along the front and was heartwarming to see. 100% would stay again-thank you for a wonderful holiday!

Our 10 day stay was chosen from the description in the Jet2 brochure as we were looking for a location with a sea view in garden setting. The bungalow was exactly as described with a perfect Atlantic view in very quiet surroundings . Housekeeping was very good and the bungalow had a walled drying courtyard. Access to the pedestrian Av Maritima was direct from the property: bars , beaches and shops a few minutes walk away . We had hire bikes so could travel easily. It should be noted that the Av Maritima is a route shared by many pedestrians and scooter users, so consideration is needed in busy sections . We pushed the bikes ! The all inclusive offer is very good with plenty of choice to include Canarian taste. Fish was a strong point . Limited fresh dairy , so pudding could be cake or very sweet mousse . We found the white coffee was too sweet from the machine. Local drinks were good enough with sparkling wine always available. Red wine came chilled in carafe , as was the white . Cocktail menu was again rather too sweet for our taste but gin and tonic or Bloody Mary were fine . The bar was very comfortable and some entertainment on offer each evening. The pool area was very pleasant and one of the pools heated . Daytime activity programme was un-obtrusive and restful. This feature is the most notable feature at the Sandos Atlantic Gardens . No poolside music, no aqua-fit so this would not suite those seeking a very lively holiday . All the staff were very helpful and efficient and we noted high proportion of return visitors.

I've just spent 7 nights here with my mum and absolutely loved it. The staff are the friendliest I've ever come across. Victor is an absolute credit, he has the biggest smile I've ever seen. The bungalows were clean and tidy, with everything you can possibly need. The domestic staff visit every day and do a thorough job. The food was absolutely delicious, there was something for everyone and it was really tasty, although a bit heavy handed with the salt at times. The goulash in particular was incredible! I tried foods I would never usually try, but they were so tasty it was worth it. When we arrived at the complex it was 15 minutes before the end of lunch. The reception staff immediately gave us our wristbands and told us to pop off and get some lunch and they would sort out the check in whilst we were eating. Top service! The pool area was spotlessly clean. You only really get the benefit of the heated pool if you go in the unheated pool first. There was entertainment every evening which was good and well balanced throughout the week. Lastly, the grounds were really well kept, the grounds staff were out every day without fail.

We stayed from 19th Dec for 14 nights. First time at this hotel. The Christmas and New Year gala dinners were fabulous. Really lovely and well thought out. Yes, some refurbishment would enhance the experience but we do not spend much time in the room anyway. Someone wrote ‘didn’t use the pool as many cats peeing everywhere’ in one review. Totally untrue. Two cats. Friendly and well looked after which was lovely to see and NEVER by the pool . Bizarre comment. We liked the entertainment, great singers. People always up dancing. We went for sunshine, relaxation, nice food and chilling. It ticked those boxes.
