Labranda Alyssa Suite Hotel

Increible hotel con buenas vistas. Me quedaria aqui muchas mas veces

Just finished our family break at Labranda and writing this review on the way back to the airport. Overall we enjoyed our holiday. What I would say is that the star ratings differ from country to country and I wouldn’t class this hotel as a 4 star but a very decent to high 3 star. People need to bear this in mind and keep an open mind when booking. You can’t expect 4 or 5 star experience for the price you pay, that’s often a clue. And this isn’t meant to be condescending. The suite apartments are modern(ish) but a bit tired and there is evidence of use of the bathroom by water issues from shower doors that don’t close properly so there is water escape. The bathrooms were clean and modern however. The living accommodation (one bedroom apartment) comprised a pull down sofa bed which had seen much better days. It wasn’t comfortable at all. The beds in the bedroom were slightly better and our kids 3 and 6 slept well. The air con was a godsend. A plus point was having a few English speaking tv channels including CBeebies which kept our kids entertained when we had them out of the sun and in the shade. Or when getting ready in the morning to go out. Three pools all very clean but cold most of the day. They were fine when you got in properly. Lots of sun loungers and remarkably most folk adhered to not reserving them until the pool opened. Refreshing. The food was as expected for an all inclusive. As another traveller said sometimes spoiled for choose sometimes a little harder to find something to eat. One issue was at dinner time it was hard for kids to find something f to eat. The pizzas were lovely and they’d often make pasta to order so there are options but can get repetitive for kids. Drinks at meal times are self service and plentiful, beer, wine, sangria plus soft drinks. The suite try to have a theme each night at dinner which is good. The desserts were lovely. After reading some reviews I was apprehensive but there was no need. Hotel is out of the way. About a 30 min walk to playa Blanca but €5 in a taxi and there is a rank not far from the hotel. But it’s a positive (and a negative for some) that the hotel isn’t next to the main drag. Had a relaxed atmosphere. There is a small mini mart not far from the hotel. If you leave the hotel at the top end, take a right and walk a few minutes you come to a cross roads, take a left there and head a minute walk to the Princess hotel and you’ll find the mini mart. Opens 10-6. Very busy when it first opens. Sells pool toys and groceries. Wild o go back? Yes, certainly as the kids enjoyed it and that’s the main thing. For those still to go, go with an open mind, appreciate that the hotel tries to cater for lots of nationalities so sometimes it may be harder to find food at dinner time (lunch and breakfast no issues) and if the food is really not to your taste of an evening take the opportunity to explore Playa Blanca and have a nice meal there to break up the break. Scarafaggi notturni e asciugamani che facevano finta di cambiare con altri sporchi. Il cibo era vario e buono ma la mancata cura dell' igiene e la presenza degli insetti è imperdonabile.
