The Reef Playacar Beach Resort & Spa-Optional All Inclusive

Posto carino , ma mal gestito ! Ci sono da migliorare tantissime cose , sopratutto la cucina , molto carente e improntata più sulla tradizione locale, pochissimo posti a sedere con l’aria condizionata, io chiederei al direttore del albergo : In vacanza dove uno si deve rilassare e riposare, Lei mangerebbe al caldo ? Il servizio in ritardo , sempre ad aspettare che qualcuno ti porti del acqua fresca… Se uno è allergico al gatto ? Ci sono due gatti che pranzo cena girano per i tavoli. ( sono un amante dei animali ma non trovo giusto che durante cena un gatto si aggiri nel ristorante ) Nel bar della piscina fronte mare c’è sempre da aspettare per bere qualcosa ( il bere di pessima qualità ) il barman un ragazzo gentile ma è uno solo ed è sempre in affanno , prepara da bere poi lava i bicchieri di corsa , non riesce manco a sciacquateli bene e ti serve da bere con ancora la schiuma del detergente( non è colpa sua , non basta una sola persona per fare tutto ) Per quanto riguarda la camera abbiamo prenotato chiedendo un letto matrimoniale grande , e abbiamo due letti singoli ( penso sia una delle cose più scomode in assoluto per una coppia ) la vacanza serve per stare vicini e godersi un po’ di tempo insieme. La doccia che non scarica bene l’acqua pertanto il Bagno si allaga sempre , e per evitare bisogna buttare giù dei asciugamani ( snervante e per niente rilassante ). Non è possibile prender un caffè ( espresso ) in nessun bar l’unico disponibile è in reception ed è a pagamento!!! Anche a colazione l’unico caffè è stile americano ! Per concludere piscine sporche, nessuno che controlla , bambini che fanno casinò sia in una che nell’altra , ma la cosa più grave è che è concesso mangiare a bordo piscina e questo compromette la pulizia ! Penso sia più un asilo per bambini che un resort per rilassarsi! Stefan camera 131 ! Spero sia utile per migliorarvi ! Saluti

Unsafe for Allergy Sufferers I have a severe nut allergy and the hotel has not handled it safely. Staff give conflicting information, meals are forgotten, and one even shouted at me when I asked about food safety. I’m only on day 5 of a 14-night stay and every day has been a struggle to eat. Not recommended for anyone with allergies There has also been other issues thus far with the rooms etc however these have been remedied. The only saving grace for this hotel is Tyler from concierge.

We had a great stay at reef Playacar - wonderful setting with a lovely rustic charm. Loved the rainforest being an integral part of the hotel. So many activities on offer both within the hotel and on the beach which was great for two teenage kids. Moses did a fantastic job with running the entertainment and always made things fun and enjoyable. Great location too with easy access to city. The staff are all friendly, welcoming and work hard to look after the guests. The spa is fantastic, had the best massage I’ve had in a long time. Plenty of food choices on offer, but food could be better.

We had ten days in Mexico and stayed the first four at this resort. It was only listed as two stars by Liberty Travel but since we had other family with us we wanted a not so expensive facility. It is a lovely resort and not too large which was good since we had two older people with us who couldn't walk far. The pool was wonderful and there was shade there and plenty of beach chairs as well as a swim up bar. The beach area was nice as well with plenty of chairs and little nooks with shade. All of the buildings share a center court which you walk down to get to the pool and the restuarant; lovely and shaded. Food was OK with plenty of variety and some Mexican dishes which was nice since the Mexican buffets tend to be Americanized. Their one nice resstuarant was Italian. The food was OK but since we were a table of six with a baby it took a long time for us to be served. Entertainment was enthusiastic but we only went to one show in the four days. There is a very nice bird santuary within walking distance that we enjoyed. There is a little shopping center also within walking distance. I stated that this was above average because it was so much better than what I expected. I would definitely recommend the Reef Club for those on a budget. Terry

No es la primera vez que me hospedo, me gusta regresar puesto que vale la pena. Playacar es muy seguro, tienes todo dentro de la privada y la ubicación es perfecta. Caminando unos 10-15 minutos llegas a la 5ta Avenida. El hotel es funcional, tiene buen tamaño y amenidades. Es limpio y seguro, la calidad se ha mantenido durante años. La variedad de comida en el buffet, las palapas y los restaurantes es muy buena. Sobre todo el restaurante mexicano y el italiano para los que hay que reservar, son excelentes. Muy buenos platillos, buen servicio y comida bastante abundante a pesar de que se sirve por tiempos. El Spa también muy recomendable. Lo único que sí me parece de más es que algunas cosas como el café del lobby no se incluya en la tarifa (porque e Nespresso). El upgrade no vale la pena, la verdad pagar por bebidas premium está demás si al final lo van a mezclar para coctelería, etc. Eso aprovéchenlo en restaurantes afuera del hotel. La vegetación y fauna del hotel son increíbles, y las áreas están muy bien mantenidas. La relación precio- calidad es excelente.

Excelente atención de Félix en el bar nicos de the reef playacar un gusto enorme conocer gente así, da gusto volver para reencontrar a semejante persona
